I know stogies parents are trying to hide the mustard from you guys perhaps they had ketchup in mind? (Check out the background of the first family pic) lol. He's surely a cutie
I was a little nervous about that, but he toughed it out and rode back like a champ! He just slept most of it in our lap and when we woke up we'd stop so he could (and us!) stretch, potty, and grab fresh air. I'm amazed at how well he is transitioning!
Poor Stoges_mom... I came home from work this evening and she had Stoeger out eating his dinner.
When he was done, he waddled over to his crate, dragging a Bully-Stick with him.
He settled in for a nap but she wanted him to stay out and play to make sure he was tired out for the night.
She scooped him up and set him down in the middle of the room to play, closing his crate door in the process but not latching it.
Stogie walked right back over to his crate, grabbed the wire crate door, threw his butt in reverse and pulled the door open. Back in the crate he went, wanting nothing to do with more play-time!!!
I think we have a little smarty-pants on our hands here...
Just like a newborn. Eat, sleep and potty. Glad to see he is adjusting very vell. He has found his security in his kennel. Welcome to puppy parentship.
He loves his crate! I don't want to Bother him in their because I want him to have a safe place but I also want him to know that night time is sleep time. We will get there!
Many Bull Terriers don't feel comfortable eating a bone (or bullie stick) out in the open in front of people or other dogs. The first thing they'll do is look for a safe and secure place to eat it. It's common to see them run into their kennel to chomp down on a bone.

Well that explains it Steve, even a closed door wasn't gonna stop him from chompin' down comfortably!!!
Also, Stoges_mom just called me at work with awesome news!
She walked in to the animal hospital down the road from us to see if they were familiar with Bullies...
The vet is not only familiar, she's an owner/handler!!!!!!!
How crazy is that!?!?
She owns a white female and a tri-color male.
The female almost made it to Westminster during her show career and the male shows for obedience because he has an over or under-bite, I forget which she said.
The vet even personally knows the author of "When Pigs Fly..." the Bully training book Stoges_mom and I are reading!
To top it all off, she has turned us on to a trainer only a short drive away that is proven with Bull Terriers.
I'll be playing the lotto tonight... Very rarely do we see Bullies in our area and we are having all this luck, crazy!!!
Oh! If you two don't stop having all this good fortune I'm gonna tear my hair out! You mustav done something special for somebody a while back! Good news all round.
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
That's true Phil... Stoges_mom just had Stoeger outside and he only poo'd once. She couldn't believe it, he's usually good for two. He's just full of it, haha!!!
GREAT Video's!!! You better save those. It won't be long that you'll be looking at those video's again and saying "I don't remember him ever being that small."
- Steve Gogulski "It's not just a Dog, it's a Bull Terrier!" www.bulliesofnc.com
I can't watch the videos until I log onto the computer. How lucky you guys got with the vet and trainers!!!! That is so awesome!!! I can't believe you said he's 4 lbs. I don't remember Apollo at 4 lbs! Hahahaha!!! Now he's 34 lbs and takes up all the room on the bed!
Apollo LOVES apples. My husband eats one at night and Apollo sits there waiting, very patiently, for bits to get tossed his way. I'm waiting until he is 6 months to fully incorporate meats, but every once in a while, I'll make him a hamburger for lunch with sweet potatoes, green beans and an egg.
He loves apple treats and would do anything for an apple! He wasn't eating very much kibble when we first brought him home, I kinda just blamed it on depression and being separated from mom and litter mates....... I added a little ground beef to see if it helped and he has fallen in love with food! Lol he is looking better and when he isn't snoozing he is a fireball! I can't believe we waited this long to add this furry mess to our family! :x
I think you went and stuck an air value in his whatsit, and are using a bicycle pump! Pretty soon he will out grow those bowls though he can swim in them now!

The stoegster made a friend at the luau we went to over the weekend The pug was grunting and groaning and I think stoeger was like what in the h#|| is that THING!?!?haha
Yeah, Stoeger didn't know what to think of that big fat Pug.
Unfortunately as we were leaving Stoges_mom wasn't paying attention when I warned her numerous times "That is not the same Pug as earlier, that is NOT the same Pug as earlier!!!" There was another Pug on a leash that snarled and lunged at Stoeger.
Neither that dog's owner or Stoges_mom were paying attention but luckily neither were injured as both handlers reeled 'em in.

Stoge's breeder needed all the condiments they could get with all the hot Bullies running around!!!
We got to meet Stoeger's parents, grandmother and aunt

These were taken the morning we arrived home from our trip to Michigan to pick him up.
Watch for Stoges first little Hucklebutt at the end of the second video
Pretending to know his name

Backwoods said he'll probably only end up 50-55lbs.
Our newly discovered vet said, "It's good thing he's small. Smaller males are easier to control." lol
We already have quite the album going pics and vids-wise.
These are just a little teaser as far as videos go, we have a few more.
Just holding out so Phil and Leslie don't run out of condiments!
Stoges_mom just started clicker training with him yesterday.
He goes BANANAS for apple chunks. I think he'd rob a bank for her if apple treats were in his future, lol.
First fetch...
Hopefully we will see an increase by Saturday when we plan to weigh him again.
So far we are feeding him Victor Grain-Free, ground beef, bananas, apples and he had a scrambled egg yesterday
His energy, wet nose and kisses are quite AWAKENING!!!
It's like dropping a tornado in the bed, ha!
But soon the tornado passes and he falls dead asleep for his first nap of the day.
Apples, cottage cheese, eggs/shells, ground beef and bananas along with his Victor Grain-Free kibble have him up to a monstrous 6lbs...
Stoges_mom has some chicken and spinach prepared for his lunch today.
Beef-Stoeger-Noff anyone!?!?
