Thanks Stoeger. She had a great day. Only the past few days she has started growling at me. Seems she wants to be with her babies all the time. When I try to take her out of the play pen to go outside, or in another cage...she growls at me. Never done that before. Not sure what to do about it. So I leave her along.
Awwwwwww happy birthday!!! They are beautiful and, Phil, shame on you!! You've been keeping these two beauties from us and not sharing enough pictures!!
I'm sorry... been busier than heck! Had two hotels to open before Thanksgiving... plus one store and a country club.... everyone wants everything done down here before season... when all those "frigid" people head south.... I'll get back to being diligent now.... duly scolded.

I know it!! I really should be disciplining them and ignoring them more, but, in truth they have been sooooo good, it's scary... I mean every now and then they break out, have a brain fart, and think they are on their grandma's yacht !! But, for the most part they behave themselves and are actually starting to listen.... So we have been blessed... As long as you drain off the energy they don't make you tear your hair out.

Now that they are one year old, I thought I'd share, in case anybody cares, their weight chart from 10 weeks old to one year. The pic'll be too small for much detail, but essentially it's interesting to note that at one stage Marco (pink) was 10lbs heavier than Isabella (purple).... and she slowly reduced the difference. They are now virtually the same at 65lbs. Also interesting is that they gained rapidly from 8 weeks to 8 months and from 8 to 12 months they have been pretty static. They started eating raw at around 6 months. Any observations and/or comments welcomed.
Love the chart. It's very informative and professional. I often receive emails from people wanting to bulk up their Bull Terrier or get them to a certain height or weight. Yes, proper diet and nutrition is important. However, people need to realize also that dogs are just like people in a way the genetics plays a Big part on the future growth and structure in which they will peek out at. You can't have a young child hoping to reach 6' 5" because he wants to become a basketball star so he decides to monitor what he's eating and supplementing his diet with all the best of the best. If the parents of that child were 5' 5" the chances of him dunking the basketball as an 18 year in high school are pretty slim. The same goes for expecting too much from a Bull Terrier that you wish to pack pounds on and get them to be Big. Recently I had someone ask me for a weight gain recipe for his 3 year male Bull Terrier who weighed 46 pounds. The owner had been looking at a few other nicely built EBT's that weighed in the upper 60 pound range. Will this 46 pound 3 year old adult Bullie ever pack on 20 additional pounds of muscle mass? It's just not going to happen. I felt the need to mention this because it's apparent many are seeing 60 and 70 pound EBT's mentioned and although 60 pounds is a good average not all will reach this weight class.

Thing that surprises me is that they are quite small for 65lbs... I feel it every time I pick them up to weigh them.... " how the heck does something this small weigh so much ,"... So on the basis of their current size, Rocky must weigh 85!!

Yeah! I think I am happy with his size... I don't think he'll get much bigger, just a nice cuddle-fill and his tongue doesn't quite get you from ear to ear!!!

Phil, your wife has Marco in a perfect figure eight choke hold and he's so tough he refuses to tap out. Now that's a tough bullie! Seriously, it's a great photo and shows, without any words, just how much he's adored!

Just sharing some recent photos of Apollo. It was pretty cold last week and since they dont make many puppy sweaters that fit tree trunks, we used an old long john my son grew out of. It worked our well!
Ok!! Wht size long johns are those??? I have to 'borrow ' this idea from you bc doggy clothes are ecpensive around here and Stoeger out grows them in a week! And he has started to show how the cold if effecting him. When we walk far I think his little paws et froze. I may hve to grab boots as well, it was in the negatives last night so no walks for us until Stoeger has the right clothing!
Stoges mom, they are a boys 10-12 from Wal-Mart. All I did was cut the arms down and cut the belly out. I didn't do that with the first one and he peed on it. Lol!! I folded it together at the seems and cut a semi circle down the bottom. Now he can't piddle on the end. I was thinking next time I'd take the sleeves of cut them and then sew it back on so I keep the cuff. Phil, I sure hope Isabella doesn't let out some green gas!
Florida Winter. The temp has really plummeted here, to about 65 in the mornings. I know you northerners are trying to make us jealous with all that lovely snow, but I thought I'd share a picture from our kids' walk this morning..... in the frosty 65 degree breeze we walked our normal 3 mile route around the neighbourhood.... Winter sucks in Florida.....
It sure doesn't look like Christmas to me. :-S Enjoy that weather now Phil because it won't be long before that Florida heat waves starts all over for you again in the Spring / Summer.
Waywardangel.... you cant fool us experienced Bullie owners! That's how you get him so white, and when he is done he's so dizzy, he comes out backwards.

Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep.
I sleep right in the center groove
My human being can hardly move!
I've trapped her legs, she's tucked in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and "I want food!"
I sneak up slowly to begin
my nibbles on my human's chin.
She wakes up quickly,
I have sharp teeth-
I'm a puppy, don't you see?
For the morning's here
and it's time to play
I always seem to get my way.
So thank you Lord for giving me
This human person that I see.
The one who hugs and holds me tight
And shares her bed with me at night!

On a serious note, Marco looks HUGE when you put some of his humans in the pics

Thanx for your knowing observations.... If you think my wife adores Marco, wait until you see her with Isabella.... Cookoo!
You northerners are gonna have to get some Mushers, for those frozen feet!
Phil, I sure hope Isabella doesn't let out some green gas!
