Been an owner of an EBT for almost 4 years now and can't see myself ever owning another breed. Was lucky enough to get my boy Apollo from Bullies of NC back in mid 2013 but just now able to get on this forum. My girlfriend an I also added a rescued mini to the family a few months back named Frankie. Just wanted to say hey and share a photo or two.
My bullies are happy to chase any wild animal or critter they can find while roaming our property. They can surely pick up a scent and have tree'd many varmints. They seem to find it amusing to scare flocks of turkey into the trees as well and they are determined to one day be able to finally catch a deer during a chase.
I think if they were to go on a hunt with me during times in which I'm looking to put turkey on the dinner table they'd make a meal out of the catch before I could do much about it. With this said, I prefer to harvest my food solo.
You got to come back out here for a visit one day and bring your shotgun. I have way too many turkey on my property. It's almost a guarantee you will get a nice Tom the first day you go out hunting for one.
During deer season these darn turkey are everywhere eating all the deer corn. They need to allow more than 2 tags a year in order for me to thin out the volume of turkey on my property.
If you look at the second photo you'll notice a Big Bobcat with her cubs when she walked by my trail cam. It's these guys that worry me when I'm out with my bullies walking the trails on my property.
Steve! I love the thought of that invitation,... but you better be careful what you offer.. if I tell any of my friends around here you'll be getting a car load of Florida rednecks and you won't see a turkey on your property again for 20 years!
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
