@Stoeger - I assume you haven't seen too many Brindle colored Bull Terriers? They're actually a common color.
That puppy with a mustache is really neat looking. I wonder if the markings were "helped" via photoshop. If not, I'd love to see that puppy as an adult.

The last photo from the string above is actually one of our Bullies - "Ricklands Rebel Rock" (Rocky). He's a light brindle which is less seldom seen that dark or reddish brindle's. His father Buck is the same color.
Apollosmama did you just put that mad man in the great catagory??!!! . Stoeger you actually challanged that man to a challenge on BTs!!!!! Yes nice work Steve but I expected a 2 page essay!!!
Your actions speak so loudly I cannot hear your words.
And these two bullies are "LAD" sufferers, or "Zincers" its a condition closely resembling that of down syndrome in humans and has a lot of medical problems-many Zincers don't make it pas the age of 4 months due to the difficulties they have while eating.
They often have a "washed out" looking coat.
I wanted to post these two because I have seen unethical breeders trying to sell Zincers as "rare", and I have seen people asking Zincer owners
"how can I produce a bully with that color??"
sure, its striking-but, the sheer difficulty of dealing with a LAD puppy is NOT worth it. most breeders will put the LAD puppies down due to the time, and medical costs when they usually don't live very long any ways.
It's a shame because that 2nd photo of the BT has a nice looking head but his structure and conformation looks unnatural. Sorry, but i don't like that pale ashy color.

@Stoeger- with Bull Terriers, genetically speaking their are only 6 markings/colors
Red-
Tri color-
White-
fawn-
Brindle-
and Black brindle-
though there are many variants of those colors and patterns
solid red smut, red and white, white with color red or black or brindle patches, soild brindle, solid fawn etc, etc.
Gentically speaking though-their are only the colors mentioned (excluding liver which is actually a dilute)
what makes that dog a "Tri colored" is not the white-but genetics. he is simply a tri colored dog with more color and less white, pair him with a white dog and you would end up with nice tri colored pups-not black and tan pups.
think of it like this- imagine a white bully with color patches-if you have ever seen a white dog carrying red on the face, most often if the red markings are on the eye or around the mouth youll see touches of smut markings, or if you see a white dog with tri markings on the eye or cheek youll see touches of red points where the red would be if the dog were a tri colored dog.
that's because of the genes.
.
as far as the "blue" bully, i have my doubts it is pure bull terrier, i think its most likely a mix of pitbull and bull terrier.
I have yet to see any form of a "Blue" Bull Terrier. Yes, there may be one or two photoshopped pics of a BT that's kind of like a Blue but odd lighting mysteriously makes it that way.
Here's the scoop - The breed standards dictate the "proper" colors of every breed. In the case of the Bull Terrier breed there are 22 colors as depicted below. Any other color would be considered "designer" and/or faulted.
I've seen photos on Facebook with White BT's showing saddleback marks or other body markings with people hitting the "Like" button and commenting about the cool color markings. It's not cool if it's faulting the breed standards and doing injustice for the breed. Other countries frown on what Americans do to specific breeds and I can only pray the Bull Terrier breed won't get over populated with idiots deliberately attempting to infect the breed with elements that contradict the standards.
I've had bullies for approaching 40 years, and there is no other dog... Just wannabees... ( can't give the real years 'cause then everyone will know I'm an ole fart).
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
You've owned Bullies longer than I've been doin' anything... Including breathing, somebody get Phil a walker that says "I Heart Bullies" please!
On a serious note. It's amazing that anyone would wanna stray from breed standard when such a wonderful Bull Terrier has already been created.
Not to mention all the wonderful variations of color already allowed under the breed standard. Who would need more? The occasional Liver pup should satisfy most who desire a color most don't own as a pet.
An out-cross to a Pit in an attempt to get a novelty Blue Bullie is disgraceful to all the people who have devoted their lives to developing the EBT into what it is today.
You know, she'll still beautiful with a passion.... With about as much passion as I would like to slice the goolies off the idiots that do this stuff to such precious creatures.... I hate to admit it, but I'd probably enjoy doing such!

I absolutely LOVE tri colors!! I would die for a female tricolor with a thick white blaze and collar! I havnt ever really cared too much for the brindle color but after having Stoeger I wouldn't have him any other way! They are all so beautiful but now we have Stoeger and hopefully down the road we can find him a tricolor cutie companion!
Beautiful boy! Pity about that marking though.... Somehow I think most people couldn't relate to such an unusual appearance .... Looks like he had too much to drink and fell down on a paint tray.... Love him!... Hope everyone does.

Here's an example, show me a pic of light colored solid Brindle.
Solid Black Brindle and Dark Brindle with a little more red can be seen everyday.
Are you up to the challenge, lol?
I guess lighting plays a factor or maybe age, maybe darkening up as they get older?

But the 5th pic & the last pic, those are some intriguing Brindles, WOW!!!
Here's a couple more photos of him.

Absolutely love his color.
Got any pics of his sire?
Here's another heavily skin pigment speckled White like the one that got connect-the-dots treatment above.

That Liver Black & Fawn really takes the cake for unusual markings, doesn't it?
How would you class her color???

I thought this was quite the interesting pup-
a rare red and white WITHOUT any smut markings!
Draydurs "Bageerah" a solid tri color or black and tan.
"Shiva" a nearly solid black black brindle
"rocko" a white bully with Liver markings
"Jimmy" a mini black brindle and white with unusual facial markings
A very handsome liver brindle bullie
A female who has been claimed to be blue and also purebred-though I personally doubt both.
and 2 semi-well known "runamuk" bullies who are both solid liver.

The Solid Livers are most striking!
The White with Liver Markings also incredible.
That little patch of White on the chest of that Black & Tan makes it Tri-Color?
That pic of the Solid Black Brindle definitely belongs in the All Black thread on this forum.
What makes you doubt the Blue???
So sad about the Zincers... But they certainly belong in this thread, their markings are definitely unique.
