I agree with Steve and Boyda on this one. The puppy will have a better chance of surviving if you separate her from her siblings and hand raise her. You will be able to monitor her intake of milk and ensure she is going to the bathroom fully. You will also be able to keep her properly warm. A puppy that is fine can regress in the matter of hours. A puppy that requires assistance will go a lot faster.
Willie had 4 white (only 1 all white, others had brendle on ears) and 3 brendle in first litter. This litter is white & brendle. One is all white. This will be her last litter, we will have her spayed after this litter. (January)
But guy's. I don't understand. They will be 4 weeks this wednesday. I fought this, but they have teeth, and Mom acts like she is miserable feeding them and she keeps jumping out of the pen. I did cut their nails...but I can't cut their teeth. 25 days...isn't that about a week early?
When they start getting their teeth in, mom would start weening them naturally. She doesn't like being a pincushion for nibbling pups, so it wouldn't be early. Pups will wean between 4-6 weeks.
@BulliesofNC I don't think she was responding to anyone in particular.
4 weeks old is actually when you want to start weening them from mama. They should be taking to that puppy mush with enthusiasm and making a mess of themselves in the process. By 6 weeks old they should be on solid foods.

Ah, thanks Stoeger...blushing over here. No Steve, I have not wormed them yet. Do they need it before 5 week? Not having any problems. No diareah since solid foods. Time for new pic's.
Yes, they do. Puppies can appear very healthy with normal poop and be infested with various worms. The appropriate time for worming them would be once they turn 2 weeks old, then again at 4 weeks old, and then at 6 weeks. Once they go in for their Health checks and vaccinations at 6 weeks old your Vet will conduct a fecal exam and no worms should be present if worming was conducted appropriately. As you probably already know, most all puppies are born with Roundworms transmitted from mama. Worming medicine is very safe and recommended for breeders to initiate on their own to kill and prevent worms. We use Stongid-T.

Diane, Just hold on to them a little longer will you. I ordered a whole truck load of Grey Poupon special blend for Christmas... As soon as it arrives I'll be over.... I also got some celebratory Christmas chin napkins to make sure I don't mess on my drycleaned shirt...... They are so YUMMY!
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
Diane, they are GORGEOUS! Laughing at Philsergeant with a truck load of mustard and Stoeger with a bun toasting. The mustard always cracks me up!
I am just reading the last part of this thread, and I am so sad. All of the puppies have a bullie guardian angel in their brother. They really are beautiful, and so adorable eating their puppy food and drinking together.

I hope this little one can pull through!
