I've been busy with school and work recently and I didn't want Melo to be locked up in the cage or be bored throughout the day, so today was my day off and I decided to build Melo a playpen. Just somewhere he can stay until I come home. Tell me what you guys think?
Great work.. Cool idea... The concerns about chewing are valid... Better put a bunch of chew toys in there but that's no guaranty either... Be sure they are not things he can choke on when u leave him unattended... I don't think you'll mind much if he chews your handiwork ... But I'll bet he goes for the base board first. A doggy cam would be my recommendation if you're going to leave him for a few hours

@phil I just might put some ply wood around so he does not chew on the base boards. Your right @stoeger I just might do that. BTW Melo stools are solid again!!!!!
When a puppy, if his stools go sloppy, just give him boiled chicken and boiled rice for a meal or so.... Rice makes you constipated did you know that... That's why Chinese people have those slotted eyes. )

We spend a lot of time in NY, UES and Harlem. If we ever bring our future pup for a trip, we must meet up for them to meet. We're on the waitlist, but we're finally in the middle instead of the bottom, lol.
I am still on the list. I was at the bottom for a few that I really, really wanted (including Melo and girl 3 from your his litter, lol), then I waited too long for one recent litter. I trust fate to bring the right Bullie into our family. There's always a reason for everything, so that is helping us remain patient.
It will be really obvious when we get to claim one, I won't be able to contain myself.
How funny that he likes those water bottles. Thank goodness that he likes something that is easily and cheaply replaced. He really is a fantastic boy, isn't he?
He's about 2 months and 3 weeks, last time I weighed him he was 13 pounds, idk how much he weighs now. His second shots are coming up this Saturday and I will get his weight then @stoeger
Why does everyone weight, sorry wait, until they go to the vet to weigh their kids.... I thought everyone had a bathroom scale?.... We don't want to go to the vet for nix!!! So don't rely on them for weight updates!

We didn't start (properly) weighing our kids until 13 weeks and they were 21lbs and 25lbs at that time. .... but since August to now ( 4months) they have leveled out at both being almost exactly 65lbs.... 64.5/ 65, every week... It's their birthday in two weeks and, as you can see from the pictures, they are not stocky at all. Reading other threads, and listening to Steve's advise, we shouldn't start bulking and weight pulling etc, until after their first birthday... I would have liked to see them closer to 73lbs.

Holy cow 65lbs!! Yikes. . Roxanne is 17 1/2 lbs as of weds. 11 weeks old. She loves our morning 1mile walk/run, except today it is so cold and windy she runs out (with a big nudge) pees and races back to the door even had some snow flakes - after the beginning playing with the lead she is a real good walker. She loves bones from the store keeps her chewing busy! She is better -hasn't torn any more clothes
Our house sits in a blueberry field, that is what she is standing in
Sorry I haven't been on the forum for a while, things are always busy around the holidays. Today was a good day for both Melo and I. He got his rabbi shots today and weighs 22 pounds at about 13 weeks. I'm going to enroll him into puppy class starting next week. Now let's get to the real news, after the vet I took Melo to my tattoo artist shop because he loves dogs and wanted to see him. My tattoo artist is very popular and often celebrities come in to get a tattoo. Melo was playing with everyone in the shop for about an hour an a half, then Dropped to sleep. As soon as he woke up one of the actors from the movie " four colored girls " walked in ( idk if any of you guys seen it but it's a Tyler parry movie ) an seen him and immediately started crying
One of my favourite things on earth ( besides Bullies) is Tyler Perry.... I think he ( she) is an amazing guy and a true genius! So I am not surprised that an actress associated with him suddenly started bawling when she saw Melo... They all are specially sensitive and talented people. Melo's looking sharp.... Is he driving you crazy yet?

@phil he doing really great with people, looks like Steve really socialized him with people when he was just a baby. The only thing is that it's teething time and that's great @stoeger can't wait for the news
