Grizzly Pollock Oil....made my dog sick!

Ok, so I've been reading about Grizzly Oil being good for dogs coat and skin.  I run out and bought some, fed it to all three of my dogs.  Two Bull Terriers and one 14year old male cho lab.  After one feeding my lab was sick all night last night, and all day today.  Squirts.  He is over 100 lbs.  Directions said I could give him 4 squirts, I gave him 3 squirts.  Poor fellow, he is so sick.  I don't know what I can do for him.  Anyone else have this reaction from Grizzly Pollock Oil?

I wish I could give you some feedback but I've never used the "Pollock" oil. We use only the Salmon Oil.

Yes we all use Salmon oil, but there was someone else on the forum that tried it.. Perhaps they'll chime in.

I can't seem to get my hands on any salmon so use the polluck and haven't had an issue yet???? It seems the salmon is all in NC

I think Craig hoards it up over there in Jacksonville. We're a nicer bunch out here in Richlands. )

Well, Buster is eating now.  Seems to be on the mend. I am so glad.  It says 'Omega three fatty acids'.  That is all I could find here.

Nope, Buster is still sick.  My poor 14 year old lab.  I am cooking him some chicken & rice to try to settle his stomache.  I'd rather be sick myself, then one of my dogs. ~X(

He's apparently allergic to Pollock, who wouldn't be, I've never seen a Pollock.... if it doesn't clear by tomorrow get the piggy bank and off to the vet.

Hoping the best. Seems like a shock to his body with the pollock oil but I'm no expert.

Great news!  Buster is up and playing again.  Still feeding him steamed rice with chicken.  He has a heardy appetite today.  But, now Willie's throwing up.  Gonna take that bottle back to the store!

I ordered the Salmon version off eBay for Stoeger but the seller sent Pollack. Trying to get that straightened out and the Salmon version shipped as replacement but we've given him the Pollack in the meantime (we opened the bottle before we noticed it's label).

No ill effects yet that we've noticed but we will switch him to Salmon the first minute we can.

To put things in perspective: The Salmon version has been difficult for me to get my hands on, I ordered some weeks ago from a different eBay seller and he shipped my bottle to CA, (I live in NY) even sent me a tracking number clearly showing the mistake, got a refund after that debacle.

My Lab got the sickest I have ever seen him.  Lasted for one night, one day.  I only gave it to him once.  He is over 100 lbs.  Said I could give him 4 pumps, I only gave him three pumps.  I made sure he drank a lot of water, and cooked his food.  Rice in chicken broth and canned chicken breast cooked, in water. Now he is fine, back to eating dog food.  I thought Willie was also sick, she just threw up once.  Buster was not throwing up when he was sick.  I wouldn't give that stuff to a dead animal!

I had ordered 2 bottles of Grizzly Salmon Oil 64 OZ and they sent one of each (Grizzly and Pollack).  Was not too pleased when they substituted.  I mixed the 2 bottles so the difference would not be drastic.  We have not had a problem with the change.  This has been for the last 3 weeks.  Wish I had it stock piles here but I am not hoarding-I promise..... [-X

Great to hear that Craig. The seller that sent me Pollack instead of Salmon told me to keep the Pollack and she will send out the Salmon ASAP.

I'll just mix the two, I'll have 64oz total, its should last our little 4lb guy quite some time as he only gets 1/2 a squirt a day right now.

Yes that will last you along time.  I use a 64oz in @ 3 weeks weeks for 5 Bullies and a Rescue.
