Well at least we learn from this that God made all his fabulous creatures, and just like the Sixth day, He said, "Hey! I've got a great idea! Why don't I make an extra special animal with all the best features combined from all my best creations....AND I'll call it an English Bull Terrier, and while I'm at it, I'll give him a brain better than man's.".. Good deal!
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
His previous owner was a pig. Give him some time and he'll emerge into a glorified Bull Terrier with all the hallmarks of a prestigious Bullie. His bloodlines are excellent and Danielle's short time frame of ownership will soon have no negative effects on his capabilities. Right now he's just cleaning his system of all the impurities he was subjected to while in the hands of a monster. 8-X

Steve, Ah! we are talking semantics here... after all, where is his "heart", if not in his brain? Additionally, like your sentiment about people in the geographical area around you appreciating and understanding EBT's.... , well that goes with your territory, you are somewhat blessed in NC.... You should come out and live in "the real world", then we'll have a discussion about the quality of human brains...

After 21 years in the Corps and being stationed throughout the world every 3 years I'm well versed in the human mentality in different geographic areas. I guess that's why I hang my hat in NC now.

Here is a fun fact- for the last 15 years-rats have been being bred to have a rounded skull like that of Bull Terriers-its apart of the AFMRA standard. (I breed rats)
There's a standard for breeding rats?!!! I'm amazed that there are even Rat Breeders, you'll have to educate us morons, xchairity, .... but why don't you just go to Washington (DC) and round them all up .... save you the whole mating process and you'll be doing us all a favour at the same time!

Sorry xchairity, I'm just too slow to understand why anyone would want a rat? They can not possibly be long term pets???? I had a client once that had a tortoise pet for his kids... it was in a fish tank and he stood in the corner trying to climb up/out the glass. The sight of it made me ill the rest of the day. I went back to that site about a year later, and the doggone creature was still there, still making the same pathetic gesture ... I got sooooo mad, his kids had "outgrown" it... Fortunately he never knew I was there at the time, so I took the tortoise home... put it at the bottom of my garden and fed it lettuce for a week while he wondered around and finally disappeared... I don't know if he survived, but anything was better than climbing glass 24/7/365.

I agree with you Phil!! I feel so bad for some animals! Turtles too! Oh and I think rats live around three years ish..... At least I think that's what dr pole said on one of the shows I watched awhile ago...
Many people enjoy them as pets. I had a couple come into my vet office with their rat and said it needed to be looked at!!! I wasn't going in that room!!!! However I've known many since whom claim they make great pets and their very smart, I personally think leave the wild wild and give me my bull terriers!!!!
Your actions speak so loudly I cannot hear your words.
Rats are wonderful long term pets! I have 2 males who are 5 years old, one just recently fatherd a litter
rats have been domesticated for a very long time and-next to dogs and cats rats are right up their in their freindlyness and need for human companionship.
I know several people who have "therapy" rats who are certified therapy animals going into hospitals to allow sick children to hold them and hug them and play with them.
mine love to be held and kissed and petted-they beg for attention- a rat is a good alternative to a dog for someone who doesn't have the room. they love to play with their people in wrestling games, chase games even peekaboo games.
one of the people who bought a baby rat from me takes theirs where ever they go, library, hardware, outdoor resturants, the rat stays close and doesn't wander away or try to run off.
I also knew a girl who would sneak her rat to school with her everyday the entire year-was never found out, she would tuck him into her shirt sleeve and he would just chill out in her shirt all day, at lunch she would share her lunch with him.
I've heard the rats in Washington get a lot of attention but they aren't trained very well. I often find myself a little concerned about their character and temperament. I just don't trust rats like that.
Wow! xchairity! See, even old farts like me can learn something new every day! Seriously, I never knew this. So it's not just bullies that get a bad name... Politicians and Lawyers give rats a bad name, and meanwhile they can do someone a lot of benefit!, amazing.

Claxxton even sounds like a pig. He doesn't cry like a normal dog.

You see it's true- Bullies are most definitely NOT 'just a dog' ! Slowly the truth is coming out......... )
So while going for a ride with Stoges_mom in my diesel F-350... he decided to act like a Parrot!
Crazy Parrot, I mean dog
BTW, he's asleep up there, haha!
They have standards and shows for nearly every kind of "pet" their are including fish-which I find pretty crazy!
I personally do not breed show rats-and breed more towards health and temperament then show standard.
