Con: You'll need a lot of patience and at least 5 hours a day with him/her.
Pro: It'll be worth every second
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
  • Cons:
    Stubborn
    potential for DA
    potential for OCD's
    high energy
    foreign body eaters
    difficult to breed
    potential difficult mothers in whelp
    difficulty in training

    pros:
    loving
    always happy
    goofy all the time
    make you laugh
    loyal
    energetic and ready to play
    unique look

These are just my opinions. The breed by no stretch of the measure easy breed to own, not for the novice dog owner and takes every fiber of your being to make them into good responsible dog citizens. But this breed is always happy and love to see its people, goofy and lives life to the fullest every day. I wouldn't have it any other way.

    PRO's:
    • Extremely Loyal
    • Great with kids
    • Protective with their owners
    • Awesome Guard dogs - better than any house alarm system
    • No more need for people to use your door bell
    • Awesome bone structure and muscular build
    • Only dog in the world with triangle looking eyes
    • Easy grooming and limited hair shedding
    • Very unique looking
    • Energetic
    • Easy to train (my opinion)
    • Capable of adapting to different climates in almost any geographic area
    • Always wanting to please and entertain their owners
    • clownish and fun behavior
    • Very affectionate and truly sense the mood of their owners
    • Draw more attention from people than any other dog
    • A rare breed you don't see everywhere you go
    • A dog that's guaranteed to become your best friend

    CON's:

    • *Long Puppy Stage
    • Can be hyper as puppies and destructive
    • Require well balanced diets
    • Some BT's can be prone to skin problems and/or health concerns. (Pedigree research is important)
    • Young Bullies that are still developing can be prone to self inflicted injury from playing and jumping
    • Some use their nose so much it can become callused. Prone to sun burn as well.
    • Need to be well socialized with other dogs. Some can become dog aggressive especially males.
    • Often still receive negative stigma due to the false association with Pit Bull Terriers
    • Difficult to breed and whelp
    • Expensive to purchase a quality BT and often targeted for theft.
    • They are addictive and once you own one you will never want any other breed of dog.
