Gus Ear Glueing
I had to look for an alternative to ear taping. So I looked up ways to
glue the ears because any taping I do Claxxton will surely rip off. In
the case that I need to do long term taping I didn't want to have to
worry about moisture being trapped in the ear or irritation due to tape. So I decided to do a test run with ear gluing and it seemed to have worked. People were telling me I needed to get his ears up now because they look big and heavy. It's not uncommon for bigger boned dog's to have a harder time getting their ears up. This was just a test run so the next time I glue them I will most likely add a piece of yarn to the inserts and than tie them together to bring the ears closer to the middle of his head to help his ear set be more correct. For now, I just wanted to get them prick. He looks so funny!

The only difference is I used skin glue since I could not find the glue she was using. Next time I do it I will add the yarn like she has to bring them closer together as I don't want them to set so far apart on the head.
P.S. Gus looks like you're paying him model fees already... He's such a poser... Is this a prelude to splitting the stud fees with him? 3:-O
I tried to find the Zinc Oxide non-flexible tape in Steve's video, but could only find something close in US... called "Rigid Strapping Tape", it sticks like crazy, is light and doesn't pull all the hair out. I cut one shape smaller than outside of the ear. Taped it to the back of the ear with a Qtip underneath, and then took one strip, put my finger inside the ear as a holder... and strapped around once. It looks pretty fundamental but with nothing INSIDE the ear, it doesn't bother him. With the ears separate they can move, like they naturally do when they are "listening" in different directions.... and if it holds I believe it MUST work.... see pictures...
