disgusting poo eating

When I got sophie as soon as she had pooed she would turn straight around  to eat it wrestling with me to try and get it whilst id be trying to get in a poo bag I put it down to may be she wasnt fed enough before I got her so I made sure I was with her at toilet time and would correct her if she tryed to go near it tgen she would lookvat it and walk away I have always stayed with her at poo time now because I didnt trust her not to eat it if I wasnt around.  Now she has starting doing it again if I put the dogs in the garden and and one ifvthem n have a poo she will eat if even zeus this makes me fill physically sick to my stomach does anyone else have ir had this problem it has been said thar it can be a lack of something in there diet pleasr help driving me insane .

It's called Coprophagia.... one of our BT's had it when she was young... we bought some food additive that you buy at Petco, can't remember the name, but have seen it still there, sprinkle it on her food..... She gave up after a week or two... With our current kids, (fearing the same), we made loud negative sounds if they ever sniffed at their own poop (or others) from the first day.... and pulled them back with a big NO! and they recoil at the smell of any now.

We tried Maya with a banana a day....since then she hasn't had the urge to consume her feces. Could be something to that potassium thing. We'll see....still early

I totally gave up on the poop eating, been battling it for a long time, tried every trick in the book. Seemed like the more I tried to intervene the more it made them do it.

I like the kisses too much to give up on the poop eating problem (if our kids had it, which thankfully they don't)..

I would have to watch my dog every second of every day and it's impossible. They enjoy the turds of my roommates dog because the dogs eats Beneful and apparently it taste just as good the second time around to them. I've tried the e-collar, special food additives, running outside after them swearing insanities. Eventually after trying for so long I just said the hell with it, as long as that dog is here, I am hopeless. Oh I tried a muzzle too and they eat through it or just get doo doo all over their face trying. HAHA!
