And yes Sarah, I saw the video of the GIANT bull terrier, we definitely have it easier, lol. I can't imagine if he pulled or lounged, he would rip my arm out of my socket! They are so strong as is, lol
McKenzie is 3 and she has calmed down considerably in the past 6 months. She still has her moments. But she is completely free in the house. No kennel needed anymore, but she likes to sleep in the one in the bedroom. Her choice.
If it were us going on a cruise, I would prefer the family member over boarding her. We boarded Murphy one time and that was the last time. I'm sure your Brother and Sister in-law will respect your wishes. More so than a boarding kennel (unless you know the kennel personnel personally). But it is your choice to make. We take McKenzie everywhere we vacation to. She loves a good trip. I know you will make the right choice for you and Billy. Which ever makes you more comfortable to enjoy your trip.
Oh gosh Bill, that means you have a horror story about boarding. I was going to look into a doggie hotel where she'll be well taken care of and with cameras so I can check up on her. I know there has to be places in orange county. Oh gosh, I know when I have the kiddos over, it's a handful watching 2 kids and Billie, but I make sure EVERYONE is safe. It's so exhausting, lol. Ill talk to my brother and sister in law again and see if they can handle Billie. My main concern is that she doesn't eat, toys, socks, etc... My trip is in November, so I have a few months to figure things out. I crate Billie when I have to leave the house, it's for her safety. I'd like to give her free range of the house while I'm out and about ,but I dont trust her not to tear things up or get hurt. Hopefully she'll get that privilege when she's a little older and more calm

Exciting and nervous I bet Like Bill said you’ll make the right decision so go with your gut and trust it’ll be ok so you can relax on your cruise! We’ve been doing well the past few days, boys are really happy ???? moose does get tired on the last few stretches as his body is doing something (seizure onset) but not full blown thank god. I call them piranhas on springs lol they are the only jumping boys on the beach and they can get so high now! They know my toilet cubicle and head straight to the door even trying to push it open lol, when I say toilet !!! They parade with such getgo with me in tow with my stick supply or branches or anything I pick up So proud of my boys Tina love them to bits Hope you and Billie are doing well together!
Hi Sarah, I'm so glad to hear you and the boys are doing well! Those are great pics! Im still working with Billie everyday and she's seems to be improving with her behavior. She has a vet appt on Thursday for her annual physical and vaccines. Hopefully, the doc gives her a clean bill of health.

Great to hear from you Tina! We’ve been good until today, Moose had his first seizure in 10 days but that’s my fault. I purchased wrong cbd which has coconut oil so he didn’t have any for a day that’s most likely why he had a seizure today. I’m getting one very soon so I’ll get him relief again. Also I’m still not happy with his torso weight Tina. I see those ribs when he inhales/drinks and I feel he needs more weight but he doesn’t have appetite like my Memphis. He’s at the age where they don’t warrant many meals but I have to get the right balance for his main meal to gain weight. I’ve never fed pork snd I’m unsure. Still thinking which way to go. Some days he looks fine but he loses it quickly not like Memphis. How heavy is Billie? Moose sits at 25kg and Memphis 21kg but I go by look anyway and not by number really. Glad Billies visit was all clear snd she looks great too Tina, keep up the good work
Hi Sarah, thank you! 10 days without seizures was a good stretch. I'm glad the cbd is working for Moose Hopefully, he will get more soon! Billie weighs 52½lbs. I've never tried feeding her pork (except she's had a piece of bacon before and she LOVED it, lol) other than that , I stick to beef or chicken and it's always cooked. I I've heard amazing things about raw diet, but I don't have the stomach to handle that, lol.

It’s just that I can compare Memphis’ nice solid weight and no rib feel through his skin. Moose will always be my concern and challenge lol. I’m hanging for summer but realistically the boys won’t be as happy lol The beach was like a desert today, sand was wild with the wind but my boys couldn’t care less I think moose has gastro but no vomiting just diarrhoea didn’t stop him today but I’ll see tomorrow. He still looks ok but I don’t want the weight loss, his appetite is affected though. Memphis is ok for now. Stay cool, do you have AC? I don’t so summer can get uncomfortable unless you’re on the beach and in the water. Less snuggling during the hot nights I assume for you Talk soon

Moose’ diarrhoea is settling and he’s eating well but not gaining the fat layer under his skin hence the ribs visible when he drinks/inhales??? I think he has digestive/gut issues I have yet to solve. He is skin and muscle and would look a lot better if he can gain this fat. I will keep searching for answers Tina. Memphis is soldiering along looking healthy and plump. Encountered a nasty walker again and so unnecessary as Memphis loves to greet dogs tail wagging etc but didn’t listen to me whilst I socialised with another walker and off leash corgi. This is when problems occur, well it wasn’t a problem at all just that I lost control with distracting Memphis otherwise I have no problems with them. They follow my guide like angels. I was sure he’ll call the council and I’m not relaxed now. Can’t afford a fine. I wish you cooler days n nights Tina
