whats the difference between naturally hypo allergenic and holistic dog food

Hi everyone ive been reading up on some foods and most of u lovely people aim toward royal caine or blue buffolo soohie is on james wellbeloved but im concerned that is it not graine free .
No beef
No pork
No soya
No wheat
No dairy
No eggs
Its naturally  hypo allergentic  but im not sure if it has graine in it which I dont want as ive been reading of posts that it not good to have graine
And is holistic dog food graine free im am baffled inly because sophie s feet r not pure white they r dis coloured looking like they vould cause a problem I know the people I got her off had them on pedigree chum (I don't think they dhould have been giving her thst and weetabix noooooo way ) but thats my view I want to give her the best start . I know the food shes on is s good food but msybe she needs something better sorry to drive u all mad with the good thing lol x

Grain free is a must. ( nobody here knows what Weetabix is, silly girl ), but Royal Canine and Blue Buffalo are good if you can't get TOTW.... If she's not on raw yet then start slowly slowly... But baked or boiled chicken 1/4 or 1/3... And some wet puppy food ( we use Merricks Puppy Plate) with some gelatin powder sprinkle and a drop of grizzly oil...she'll be DA BEST!

There's many really good 5 star grain free foods out there. The best thing you can do is compare each one and see where they differ in regard to Protein, Fat, and Carb values. Most all 5 star foods will be high in proteins which is important. For many who have active BT's they also want to ensure the Carbs are high as well to ensure weigh gain and muscle mass can be provided.

Blue Buffalo, Victor, TOTW are high in Carb values. Natures Variety Instinct is descend in Carb values but lower scaled than the other 3 foods mentioned.

With many 5 star foods being close in comparison the best thing to do is to find the one your dog prefers the most and enjoys eating. The best nutritional food in the world doesn't have too much merit if your dog eats less of it because they aren't enjoying the taste. ;)

For Adults I prefer the Salmon. For puppies I prefer the Roasted Venison and Bison.

  • Thank u for your reply I will defo be ordering this food whst age do puppys stay on this till her current food is 6 months.

I'll probably be corrected here, but I'd say 12 to 18 months, at least. Until she stops putting on weight and is full grown. I'd weigh her once a week for the first 6 months then once a fortnight until her first birthday then once a month thereafter. Keep records. Weigh her at the same time very week... Ie, after poop , before food or whatever, as long as its the same.

Yes, sorry, I wasn't clear.... They should stay on the "puppy" food all that time. I could be corrected, but I doubt it.... I just checked the bible... Here... http://bulliesofnc.com/bull-terrier-nutrition... I was a little off... Puppy food until 14 months ( not 12 to 18 ) :-((
