I just got a 9 month old Bull Terrier as a companion for my 2.5 year old.
The new 9 month old just try's to hump my 2.5 year old and constantly chasing and playing with him.
My placid boy even growled at him.
Do I let them get there pecking order eventually or is there something I can do to sort it out.

It's not uncommon to see a male Bull Terrier doing this during their adolescent stages. They are at a point in their life where they are going through puberty and learning dominant behavior. Many people opt to scolding their dog for this behavior and teaching them not to show any signs of dominance. This may not be a wise choice if you plan on breeding him as it will create confusion when the time comes you actually want him to breed and he is used to being scolded for humping.
In the event you do not have plans for breeding him I wouldn't allow him to show any dominance behavior to your other dog or any dog for that matter. As he matures you will note that much of these bad habits will go away but it's important to ensure dominance and aggression is not tolerated.

How do you deal with the dominance and aggression? My 9 week old is trying this with the cat and 2.5 year old Lab. He tries to climb on top of the cat and bite the back of his neck and hump him...which we stop immediately and he is just bite aggressive with the older dog.
