Ear taping
When is it too late to tape ears?
My puppy is 11 wks, and has a crooked ear that is pretty much up, but leans in towards the other ear,and forward a little bit. It almost seems like I should tape it DOWN for a day or two.
Has anyone had to tape down??
The other ear looks pretty good.. just this one is being a pain in the butt..
Should I just leave it and let the ear work itself out? Or should I intervene now?

It will work out
Never tape down
It might drop again than you will need to tape
Than when they are 6 to 7 months and pushing teeth hard their ears will get wonky again sometimes
That happens in Shepards also
You usually don't have to tape at that phase but if they would drop you would
Mine are 8 months now and seem to be through the it
At times when the female is sleepy an ear will drop a\but perks right up when she is awake
for example: when she's excited or happy, she will pin her one ear back, but can't pin that other one.
If it goes down as in flopped tap it
If she is pinning it back that's a different story
They do move them around
When fully alert do they stand erect ?
When is the last time they were taped ?
I'll give it a couple weeks and see what it does.
If she doesn't get control of it in the end that's ok, but hopefully it will straighten up and not be so crooked. I just don't want to wait too late.
S;d0 Mike sure ear canal is clean
I've noticed if I've got anything going on in the ear ....dirty ......infection they will hold them differently
I had to tape my guys a few different times and than like I mentioned at about 6 to 7 months they got a bit wonky why they were really pushing teeth
Make sure the ear canal is clean
6 months is typically when the canine teeth fall out. Can't wait for that!!!
The ear on your Bullie may not be going down due to where the cartilage hardened at the base. Personally if it were me I'd retape for 24 hours.
