We're Bullie lovers, so we wouldn't have noticed your nails unless you mentioned them,:\"> But they look fine!
Good catch on the nodule... Make sure it doesn't grow, if it does, have it whacked off soon...But it'll probably go away on it's own... couldn't hurt to rub some cortizone on.

  • Is it something I should be really worried about?

It's impossible to tell from a picture, if this bump is reason to worry.
Just as Philsergeant said: Keep an eye on it. If it starts growing, show it to the vet and have it removed, if possible.

Even growth does not necessarily mean that you are dealing with cancer. But it would definitely be a good idea to have it checked, once you notice growth or significant changes in appearance.
The same is true, if doggie would start to excessively scratch or bite the area - or at least try to reach it.

The bump might as well just vanish as it appeared within the next few days or weeks. Those things happen. Don't worry too much for now. Just keep it under surveillance. If you feel safer that way, take a pic every other day for comparison.
  • Here's a photo under the sun today

  • Hi,
My wife found something that looked the same on our BT a few weeks ago.
It was on the rear of his back leg.
I thought that it may have been a tick or a mozzie bite.

The following day, I had a poke and a scratch at it.
The small dry lump came off in my hand, along with a tiny amount of fur.
The dog hadn't paid any attention to it at all, and i still don't know what it was.

My guess was an insect bite, there are lots of nasty little critters here. (West Australia)
  • Hello! Just got back from the vet.. he said its yeast infection and got medicated shampoo and antibiotics for my baby. Hopefully it'll go away soon!

Yikes! Now a nodule is a yeast infection? It was like a little bud? Right? A firm but small lump under the skin? I never heard that one before>.. the medicated shampoo can't hurt... but I've never heard of antibiotics removing lumps???

  • It's not a bump under the skin, it's a bump over the skin with dry yellowish patches? Idk I'm not familiar with dog infections but I have to trust my vet. It doesn't bother him when I touch it.. I'll keep you guys updated about it. He also said to put neosporin on it.
