Taste of the wild VS nulo

Hi there, I'm currently feeding my pup taste of the wild but an employee at the pet store suggested NULO. He said it has less carbs. I've personally never heard of this brand before so I did research and a lot of people seem to like it. Has anyone here have experience with nulo? Thank you!

Never heard of it, but frankly the store clerk is the very last person I would take recommendations from ... you never know their motivations... try dogfoodadvisor.com and see if they have rated it.
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
  • Philsergeant I just checked dog food advisor and they gave nulo 5 stars

Wow, I had a long post to go with the pic above....
2nd attempt will be bullet points only.

Everyone has reasons for feeding what they do to their kids my older bully is a very finicky eater so we transition about every one to two months.
My rules for food selection are meat based, higher scale in protein, grain free, shoot for lowwr carbs,. And the kids have to enjoy eating it.

    From my experience.

Evo is second-to-none in high protein virtually no carbs, five star, meat based, and they love it.

Merrick classic grain free and raw infused follow the guidelines above,. And is the most economic.

Those two brands are the staples,. I just cycle through the many flavors / varieties with an occasional alternate thrown in.

  • I use Taste of the wild "wetlands"
About 50$ for 30lb bag.. I'm happy with it and my bullies aren't picky so they love it.
I was thinking about Evo, but worried about too high of protein for a breed prone to kidney issues. I'm just a worrier when it comes to my babies!

@sayitaintcor ... Great.. If it's grain free and he loves it, give it a whirl... and let us all know... what are the main proteins?

  • @philsergeant Hahahah yeah I copied and pasted it lmao
  • I give my puppy nulo, she likes the salmon flavor, I also switched to the turkey one but she prefers the salmon. She’s very gassy but it was worse when she was on Blue Buffalo

I just tried a can of nulo turkey this week and he loved it, I will get that again. The best recommendation I can make for gassiness is Honest Kitchen Perfect Form. It is a product you mix with a little water and can mix in food and it does wonders for tummy troubles. Over the years I have realized my bt is only gassy when eating something different from his usual routine, such as too many treats or different treats at a pet store. I have been feeding him honest kitchen dehydrated food for a year and their goats milk with probiotics.
