territorial problems

in Bull Terrier Training & Obedience
Hi my bull terrier is around 6 months old, he is starting to be very territorial with food and toys or objects he really likes i've only managed to control him with his leash(pulling him away from the items he really likes) he hasn't shown much improvement so i wish to know if there is a better method in stopping him from being territorial.

    He can only have his food if he is eating out of your hand. He can only have his toys if he is playing with you and you are holding the other end. He needs to learn that he only gets them by your good grace. He is only 6 months old.. you cannot allow him to intimidate you in any way, ever.

    In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
