Rocky had the exact same thing happen to him. We knew he was sick so we took him in to the Vet and they did an x-ray and noticed a small piece of wire. They made it sound as though they needed to do surgery "Right Now" if we wanted to save him. He was being operated on minutes later. Later they told me they went through every inch of his intestines looking for the wire. When they couldn't find it they pushed all his intestines back in, conducted another x-ray, and noted that the wire was actually moving through his system. I was then told it was no longer a worry and that he would pass the object through his stool. They issues me a $1500 bill and instructed me to come back a few days to remove his sutures. Oh, I could have killed them for putting Rocky through all that for nothing.
Yes it’s those with the spring on...well I don’t have any left thanks to him...when I put the sprinklers on they go crazy and try to kill the water......take it all in ....The Vet seems to be positive but when I was there this morning he looked so uncomfortable (Jinx)...he has to stay for a full week... One thing I saw from what he removed was plastic….that’s a killer and unfortunately you can’t keep idiots from littering in the parks or even over our walls…
@abau004 ... Yes, litter is a terrible problem in the third world and in Europe ( probably since its infested by third world'ers these days.)...it's hard enough stopping our kids eating leaves... If they come across plastic chicken sandwich wrappers.... That's a bigger problem. Hopefully Jinx will be home soon ... I'll have to send you some American sprinkler heads... They are all plastic... And they retract when dogs come nearby ( just kidding )... Keep us updated please. You know in life it is said, " what doesn't kill us makes us stronger", but with Bullies it's " what doesn't kill them make us love them more".

So not for the faint hearted........glad to report his up...tail wagging...now we wait to see if what he took in will go through his system....holding thumbs
That's more like 20cm !!! Damn... need to find a vet with smaller hands! We have a female vet and, thank God, she has only used her little hands to rip up my cheque book! It's going to take him a while to recover from that invasion, but that smile says, "Don't worry, I'm coming back to be a bad boy again". When is he coming home?

It really looks bad but Jinx seems to be. Recovering!!!!!! Well if he can pass his food tonight another two or three days.....I tell you its like a proper human being in hospital........we can't wait for visiting hours...... And poor Jenna she has no idea what's happened to jinx....she just runs around the house looking for him.....
What would be the best to get him back on track...he really lost all his weight
He will fill out quickly again just be careful not to force the food back in to quickly if he can take it get raw meat in to him to build him back up I find tripe is the quickest at putting weight on dogs
Surely the vet will give you specific instructions about how to get him on solids again. If not, press them for very specific guidelines because bloating will press on his incision, and straining without some fiber might also cause some problems for his incision.
I wouldn't worry too much about his weight... He'll get that back as soon as he is healed, but I wouldn't be asking him to eat more than he is comfortable with... I stay with his regular food, and soften it a bit with gravy.g

OK so Jinx started eating some soup......if he can get it through his system the Vet said he can come home.......yay!!!!!! Poor guy has lostfc almost 4kg....
Jinx is back home......just got him back.....and yes he is not the buy he used to be he is still a clown....he obviously missed Jenna and ran around cwanting to eat everything.....his xstill on antibiotics but I'm so glad his back....
Was funny watch Raider seeing a live fish for his first time. He learned quick not to try swallowing it whole ). He gagged, spitted it out then took bite sizes. Gave him one the first day to make sure he didn't have any reactions from the fish, then two the second day. Several berthers watched him the second day while he ate. Then they fished for their dog's meal that day. Too funny.
They make a wonderful pair! Yes, when we take the kids over to my duaghter's where they play with their two dogs.... they never stop. Sleep all the way home in the car, need virtually to be carried to bed, won't get up in the morning, sleep all Sunday like they have a huge party hangover.

House I just bought has an old close line in the back Strung 3/8 ss cable between the post with a tensioner and garage springs. Toys are strung with they're own springs on pulleys. He can can pull them 50' the length of the overhead wire yank and shake them, if pulls hard and lets go they flyin
So the news is as follows...The Vet says its a result of the injections this infected his skin ...he says its common and will go away soon...also a bit of muscle injury.. im so happy.....I think Jinx has gone through enough at the tender age of 16 months...he is back on track and a full 35kg again...

Quinn, like Isabella, may have a bit of a shoe fetish...she used to nap with her nose in tennis shoes. Must have been pretty humid in there.
