Adding rescue bull terrier to our pack PART 2 - advice for introduction?

Just wanted to start a new thread, what are some of your tips and tricks for introducing new dogs into the home? I have a 3 year old adult neutered male bully who is very well behaved (as well as a bully can be...), balanced and great with other dogs. Next weekend we are bringing home a rescue - 1 year old spayed female miniature bully. We aren't 100% sure if she will even be great with other dogs although she did seem to be a happy go lucky pup from what we have seen of her in the shelter. We want this introduction to be a success.

We have had dogs in our yard to play and over to the house before with no problems at all. Our male has never shown an ounce of aggression towards another dog on leash, or off leash at day care or at the dog park.

How can we make this work the best?

And, is there a possibility our resident dog will suddenly have a change in attitude and personality and hate the new dog?

There is always that possibility. It much depends on the confidence level of the existing Bullie, whether he becomes threatened by the newbie... he will want to dominate and be in charge ... that means she will need accept that. If she doesn't and he is overly possessive of attention then you are going to have to show them both that there is only boss {you}... as long as you are in control then no worries, but remember they can both sense your attitude... so you're the one that needs show confidence
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
