I cant get to a vet today as they dont have 24 service where i am based.

I check his paws every day after his walk to check for cuts and ticks etc so i know this wasnt there last night but on return from walk today his paw/toe is swollen. Any ideas? could it be a bite?

he isnt limping and doesnt show any obvious doscomfort

Is it soft or hard? Can you get a better shot? (more focus)... I'd start by regularly rubbing in some antibiotic cream.

Hi, thanks for the reply, it isnt hard but rather than soft i would say fleshy if that makes sense, it doesnt feel pussy and doesnt have a head osorry if pic is no better but its location makes it hard to zoom clearly. like i said he is running around playing with his toys so doesnt seem bothered but i know that he has a very hig pain threshold and doesnt really mope around unless poorly or when he hurt his foot before and limpedn like a spot or scab.

he is already on antibiotics and has been for a week for a tick fever

I'm not qualified to give medical advice by any means but I've felt with paw issues from hunting dogs in the field and I would try a warm compress for a bit and or a warm soak

I add some epson salt and soak paws briefly for many foot ailments

i have been to the vet today and she said it is a couple of ingrown hairs that have been iritated probably by him licking them so washing and bectadine should solve it.

here he is post vet, weighing in at 44llbs seeing there is a lot of weight questions on here at the minute

He is most certainly smiled, here he is post bath, he wont be this clean for long
