Hey everybody I just would like to introduce my new puppy, Selah from Bullies of NC! We have only had her a day, but she has taken over our house and our hearts!

Selah is a cutie!! She looks just like her mommy "Foxy" (below) but I think she'll be a tad bigger due to "Sooners" genetics.

Unfortunitely UTI's are something that can occur from so many things that it is always hard to determine what caused it. It's obviously something more common amongst female dogs than males. Many people feel it normally comes from holding in urine for prolonged period of times and I agree that can often cause a UTI. However, I don't think that's always the case. Any form of bacteria that comes in contact with a dog can cause a UTI. One dog mounting and/or humping another dog can cause an infection. Obviously there can be many different causes but UTI's are something that can be resolved quickly and safely with medication.

Don't be surprised if Selah did hold in her pee and poop all day though. Many others on this forum will tell you that crate training is something that comes pretty naturally with bull Terriers because they actually enjoy their kennels. It kind of brings the wild "Dog Den" feeling of security to them. On the same note, it's rare that you'll see a BT relieve themselves in their kennel unless their bladder just can't handle it anymore. They will try their best to hold it in for as long as possible which as we all know can cause problems. It wouldn't surprise me if Selah did in fact hold her bladder all day while kenneled.

Again though, there's really no clear way of knowing what the actual cause was. I hope Selah starts to feel better real soon which I'm sure she will.

It'll probably go up all by itself but I actually like to start getting the ears up a little sooner by taping. I bet if you taped the ears just one time they'd be both up for good.

Selah looks so nice! I know what you mean about it being hot. Today's high was 100 and it was humid as can be. Way, way too hot!

Thank you Steve, and yes miserable outside! The mosquitos are soooo bad right now! They are even bothering Selah! Today was a day we really didnt stay long out there, Selah just wanted to do her business and head back in the house... Wish it wasn't so blurgh out there!

I just spent the weekend in the DC area.  Bugs were nowhere to be found.  I think the storm blew them out to sea.

We are thinking about putting her on the police force as an attack dog and possibly training her as a tracker. We haven't decided just yet, but will keep you informed if we do!

She sure is nice looking. She appears to be very attentive to you as well. Usually BT puppies at her age are 100mph and taking photos of them is near impossible. )

That was a really cool video. Selah has nice movements and looks great. That tennis ball won't last her too long. You're going to have to upgrade to a Kong ball pretty soon.

I do, but in SC so not sure what Dunder mifflin is lol! Thanks and yours looks great too! She still has her puppy tendencies of course, but overall she is so eager to please which is showing to have the right personality and attentiveness for training!

Another Update, I know it seems too soon, but I think she has grown a bit! Ok I am borderline obsessed with my Selah!  >:D< LOL I dont think there is a cure for this either!
