Oh nooooooo!!!!!!!

Soooo, yesterday we took Violet to the beach...nothing crazy, no interaction with other dogs, no rough housing, just a few short "swims" and some fetch. Bath afterwards. Fast forward...today, she won't wag her tail at all! Still eating, drinking, and pottying like usual. Research points right to Cold Tail. Has anyone experienced this? Nothing visibly wrong on the underside of her tail, just swollen at the base, and she does not want it to be touched. I have some pain killers left over from her spay..I think I'm going to give her 1/2 and see if it brings her any relief. Ugh. Thoughts???

That's exactly what it sounds like to me. She used muscles in that tail that she's not used to and all the swimming and excitement caused some self inflicted injuries. However, in a few days she'll be back to normal.

Thank you! I sure hope that's it. If she's not feeling at least a little better tommorrow, then off to the Vet. But your response eases my mind!!
