Blast from the past

Hi BT friends! I thought I might introduce myself with some photos of my BT's from a long time ago as currently I'm between Bullies. Based in Sydney, my first girl was Powderworks Honey Bear (Pen), and my first lad was Aust. Ch. Powderworks Fyreball (Edward), a strutting stud. We had two litters between them and Edward sired a few for others. When the time is right we'll be searching for a new family member again ;-)

Great looking dogs.... All my old (film) photos look grainy like that too.. amazing how quickly we've become spoiled with the quality of digital.... Hell yeah! Who can live without a Bullie ?  After we have lost some in the passed it usually takes us 8 to 10 months of mourning and keeping on saying "Nothing can replace 'name' "
But then we can't deny ourselves the joy much longer.
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
  • Ha, yes true true, we are working on it. My wife had a childhood fear of all 'dogs' and so it took some convincing to compromise on a Dalmatian as I wanted the kids to grow up in a dog household, which they have. The Dally is now 11 and I am keeping a close eye on her health as there are some issues, but a beautiful nature. Hence the conversation has started and moving forward well, but some 'sites' are not as complimentary to BT's as others and my wife has done her homework. We will go to a few Bullie shows and visit breeders just to get her acquainted! Wish me luck, it's a fun journey

You know, just the mere fact that Bull Terriers remain in the Top Ten Best Dogs with Kids year after year provides a lot if insight towards their character and temperament of the breed. ;)

If you look carefully at the sites that are not complimentary to Bullies... if you look at the bottom, in fine print it says "run by morons".

  • Absolutely agree, she is good and understands my passion. I raised my BT's from the age of 17 to 34 and look forward to my next pup. A bit of delayed gratification. Funnily enough, she looked at the article differently to me and actually has a positive view...where as I was a little defensive :-) My dogs always loved kids. Anyhow, she has overcome a lifetime fear of animals and loves our current Dally, and even experienced two litters. I believe the circumstances have to be right as I couldn't bear the thought of having issues down the track.
  • By the way, thanks for the link Steve!
