Or did you just miss to also put: "Please, send me a private message, if interested, I will then provide you with all the details."?
Also, putting one's dog up for adoption rarely sheds a very good light on the owner among the community of dog lovers.
However, there can be circumstances in life that make such a change inevitable and some of them are indeed comprehensible.
Wouldn't you at least want the community of passionate Bull Terrier lovers here to understand, WHY you need to say goodbye to that cute and adorable little part of your family?
Funny enough, Bob's other discussions did not start with more than just a few sentences either.
Well, in the given case it really looks like it could be a good decision to re-home the dog, INTO EXPERIENCED HANDS.
Actually to me the entire case seems like there are owners here, who are just not capable of handling the temperament of a Bull Terrier.
The problems that have been discussed in the other threads to me more or less seem like facets of the typical adolescent Bull Terrier issues.
Some remarks of the owners in my opinion clearly show a huge lack of basic understanding. That leads me to think that it's not the dog who would be particularly bad, wrong, ridden with behavioral problems or anything like that.
To me it looks like this relationship or in other words the temperaments of owner and dog are just a total mismatch.
I only wished the owners would have realized that, BEFORE they acquired the dog. And I can only hope that if there will ever be a next time with a dog, it will be a more easily compliant breed and the owners will gather more information about it in advance.
If I could, I would take him immediately, because I am convinced that he is a great dog. But I have my doubts that Djamila would be happy with another dog in the house. And our landlord only allows one dog in the house anyway.
In oder to find a good and experienced new home for him, especially because this thread can pop up isolated on Google and others may not be able to find the other threads that are showing a bit of the history of this dog, I would still find it helpful to provide more background information right here in this discussion. And if I were the owner, I would still feel the urge to explain my decision.
But that's just me.
I mean, on the bright side they seemingly have at least tried to fix things for about 5 months and have even engaged a trainer (the chosen one may not have been the best choice, but who knows).
As I already did in another case here, from Wyoming, never head of it again (???), I can offer to help by putting up a profile of the dog in my blog and on my Facebook page (www.bullterrierfun.com) in order to maybe reach more potential new owners and especially people who are familiar with the breed.
But I will only do that under the premise that there will be given more background information about the dog.
Also I would suggest to find and contact Bull Terrier rescue groups in California and seek their help with re-homing him.
But I guess they will want more information, too.
There should be a lot more Rescue Groups in your area that could help. Who have you tried contacting?

Also, like Steve already said: You should have several Bull Terrier Rescue Organizations in California. I would not look for animal shelters, but Bull Terrier Rescue Organizations in particular.
The reason being that they specifically know the breed and are often in contact with experienced people who also know the breed. And these organizations usually only initiate adoptions into homes that provide appropriate circumstances.
There are 7000 members so I'm confident he will get a lot of attention from people looking to adopt a Bull Terrier.

As you can see, there are already people interested in the adoption. It would give them a chance to contact the rescue organization, talk to them and apply to adopt the dog.
Thanks!

So with this said, apparently Bob was dropped off yesterday at an unknown Rescue Group and adopted out to home all in the same day. That rescue group must have been lightening fast to analyze Bob's character and temperament, advertise Bob, interview potential new owners, and find him a loving home in less than 24 hours. Job well done for all that work especially on a Sunday. :-? :-??

@Steve, thank you for the update on Bob. That story started out kind of strange and seems to end that way.
It definitely leaves an odd aftertaste. I can only hope that Bob - the dog - is well and the story miraculously true ... I'll leave it at that.

A normal response would have been:
"Bob went to _______ Bull Terrier Rescue group located in _______ and a wonderful person by the name of ___________ took possession of Bob for foster care. Miraculously Bob was actually adopted the same day by a wonderful family who had prior experience with the breed and fell in love with Bob within minutes. He was so very lucky to be provided to a rescue group AND adopted to a loving home in less than 14 hours since I posted his availability!"
Somehow though, I just have a hard time believing it especially considering this all happened on a Sunday. But I will remain positive and trust that this was in fact exactly what occurred and that Bob found a loving forever home in less than a day. My thoughts of anything else other than what was described to have occurred with Bob scare me.
@pumagirl - I was told via email that Bob has already been adopted. Hopefully the Bull Terrier you just rescued the other day works out for you and your family. Your new bull terrier might be saddened if he finds out you're looking for a replacement.
