Rough play

Hello, my 4 month old mbt is pretty gentle with us when she plays, but it quickly escalates to rough play. For example, she'll lunge at my husband, not to bite him, but to smother him with kisses. How do I teach her not to cross that fine line without discouraging her gentle play and kisses?

    You never need to worry about suppressing The Accused's Kisses and Play, that'll never happen... but you must let her know when too much is too much... The "wild Period" always happens until they learn who's boss, but if you discipline her with love and kisses she'll love you back more... (once she has told you that she is well and truly pissed off for a while).

    What a gorgeous Bull Terrier she is! Her behavior sounds characteristic of a Bull Terrier puppy. She's going to require constant training and discipline throughout her puppy stages when she is going to be wild and crazy at times. Always remember - Bull Terriers are like fine wine, they get better with age!
