No wheat corn soy food switching ?

I'm wanting to switch food bc he's approaching a year old. Currently feeding purina healthy morsels puppy food. But he has like dandruff alittle and paws kinda have a few red spots like I'm reading from food allergy. He does not lick them or bite at all yet. Foods in my local large town are way expensive like blue buffalo is almost 70
A bag for 30 lbs. not happening.
Looking at website chewy.com bc they ship in 2 days and free over 50 and they auto ship bc I know I'll forget.
Looking at diamond naturals beef and rice. It's at least no wheat no corn no soy.
Other is adult Fromm. Same thing now wheat no soy no corn

I know these arnt totally grain free but he don't seem to be bothered a lot by the grain he eats now so wanna try this before we shell out more money.
And comments ease chime in thx. He also eats a lot of beef bones fresh from small town locker across the street. Loves them to death.

Purina healthy morsels is just pure crap.... you may as well grind up some old cardboard boxes and feed that.... If I were President I would have these guys hung for selling shit and pretending it was worth something.  Just about anything, regardless of budget is worth more than that.   Do the calculations in $ per pound.... even raw chicken, which you can boil, you can get for less than $2 per pound.
But there are a bunch of good foods recommended by various owners on this site....

  • I learned its crap that's why was looking for another food. But I just find it hard to think food is worth 2 or 3 dollars like bb or some Fromm or red canin. Or taste of the wild like In my local
    Pet shops.

If 80% of dog food buyers refused to buy rubbish at $1.50 then perhaps those manufacturers would have to produce quality at $1.80 and the "good" stuff would need to be sold at $2.15.... It's because they are all rip-off artists and consumers are dumb.
(I had a "friend" in the UK who owned one of those large "snack" companies that made these aerated chips out of corn and other junk, and he would brag how a big 2 pound (money) bag of chips had less than 10 pence of ingredients in it.... the most expensive part was the bag and then the advertising).
