Wow! Wow, Wow, What a boy!! just get those dumb people out of the picture, they are distracting from the magnificence (oops! I hope you don't know any of them ;-))
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
  • I for one am not surprised in the least, now when you gonna hand that dog over!!!!!!!!
Your actions speak so loudly I cannot hear your words.

Lucian did very well during all 3 shows. I missed the whole show because Makoa gave birth at 3:00am Friday morning. Craig was nice enough to send me photos to my phone and keep me updated. Everybody at the shows loved him and he got a lot of praise.

I will post better photos once I receive them.

Here's a couple videos of Lucian competing in Best in Group against 17 other breeds who also won their Best in Breed class:

  • That would sooooo frustrate me as the judges keep walking by!!! I would have been a bundle of nerves!!!
Your actions speak so loudly I cannot hear your words.
  • I really enjoyed watching that video! Lucian looks great! His handler is excellent and doing a fantastic job! He shows like a charm and looks excellent out there! He is a very fitting show dog and stands toe to toe with your new male in my opinion hehe. I never go to the group shows after taking best of breed, I only do the bull terrier class and never the terrier class after that, its just personal choice for me. I probably should do it more. For me it's hard, I get nervous and forget everything Im supposed to do right in the ring, like test anxiety or something. Wish I could look that calm and professional in the ring!

You're the first person I've heard that would go to a show, win B.O.B., and not stick around to compete in Group, or Best in Show. That's like forfeiting a game. To me that doesn't make any sense especially when there's a healthy pay out of $5000 or more for B.I.S. I think at the shows here, due to the volume of participants, they may find it odd or insulting to walk away and quit competing by not attending the higher level competitions. I can hear it now, "and next up is the Bull Terrier...... Ooops it appears as though the Bull Terrier representing the breed went home?"

Which BT are you showing? You said you won a B.O.B. Was it a major? Send us a video during the B.O.B competetion. I'd like to see how your Bullie moves as well as some of the other Bullies in the B.O.B. that were competing.

Lucian moves very nicely, especially for not having too much experience in the ring and being out of it for a while.

Man! He was sooooo good! You must be prouder than hell!

  • Lucian did great.  Katelyn was awesome.  While we were in fact nervous I think I felt bad for them more.  They worked hard and looked good.  The bearded Terriers seemed to be favored but had a few people tell me we were robbed.  Better videos next time.  Lighting sucked and digital camera is past its prime!!

  • everyone thinks they were robbed at a dog show when they don't win. Yes Steve I do not go to the group ring, no interest in it, and makes my time at the dog show much much longer, and usually, I do not stay there very long. The chances of wining best group or even best in show is very slim, as you saw in the video, perhaps someday I will give it a try, right now it has no interest of mine until maybe I can become a better handler myself. I went to a few shows, Scarlett took BOB and Claxxton took BOB but neither was a major show. He has his first major show on the 5th, and my produced, Dozer will be in the ring as well. I don't have any videos of my dogs in the ring I am usually there alone and have no one to help me. My next major show on the 5th my friend will be taking photos but not a video. I dont think she can hold a camera and take pics at the same time hahaha. I don't have a video camera and photos are more special to me but I have a video on my facebook of claxxton practicing if you want to see that.
  • Even at my major show on the 5th I wont go into group if I take the win, I am visiting friends in Arizona and have been requested to help take some photos of the dogs there so after breed showing I will be very busy.

    Danielle,

Good luck with your show on the 5th with the Kachina Kennel Club. It doesn't appear as though there won't will be very many BT's attending. Are they all yours and your friends BT's? Last year there was a total of 1 Bull Terrier at the show. Maybe if you and your friends enter all your BT's you'll have enough to develop a Major. Currently there is no information found dictating that show to be a Major for Bull Terriers. I figured if you knew it was going to be a major it was because you knew how many of your own dogs you were entering. I guess that's one way to win a major. They call that stacking your own. @-) Anyhow, good luck and post some pics!

  • No Steve I was invited to this show by a friend in Arizona who wanted to make it a major show for one of her youngsters. She told me she was entering her white male, and a close friend of her from Canada would be attending with her current Canadian champion. We registered Dozer and Claxxton so there will be 4 white males showing making it a 3 point major. Claxxton, Dozer and the Canadian dog will be in open dog and the other dog will be in bred by class.

Awesome, good luck. Well if your Bullies are only going up against one other dog it should be very promising for you. Have fun!
