Stax loves these toys

Stax has enjoyed a couple toys that I thought I'd share.  I bought a Petstages Puppy Cuddle Pal that is a soft toy that has a pouch with buckwheat hulls that can be microwaved.  It is warm and soothing.

Since bull terrier puppies need a positive outlet for their teething, we've bought several Nylabone puppy and Kong puppy toys, but this key ring is the best!  He throws it up and not only chews it, but it is very entertaining.  It's held up very well, too!  We ordered the medium size, which was the largest I saw on Amazon.

  • Yep, and he is easy to spoil, he's such a great pup.  :)
  • The only thing that soothes bianca's teeth is nylabone flexi chew bones. Everything else she rips to pieces in minutes! She might love that key ring tho.thanks for the info
  • Birdie has a thing for shredding sticks. There is nothing better than a big stick, unless it's an even bigger stick!  And when there is junk mail she enjoys a little light reading.

Looks like you might need to start taping Tea's ears, that beauty has a pair nearly as heavy as the rest of her!
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
  • So glad that she's enjoying the key ring toy.  Stax is entertained by it, and it's holding up surprisingly well.  I don't let our older BT get to it, though, because he'd shred it.

Birdie doing some light reading, hahaha!
  • Ya we can't let Hannah get them either or she would do the same thing........chew them to bits!!!!LOL  and of course thats all she wants is Tea's toys!!

@philsergeant.......yes I was getting concerned about her ears.  Hannah's were up by the time she was 8 weeks.  Tea' is almost 11 weeks (and over 15lbs!) and half up.  I watched the video on how to tape ears on this forum, I was just going to wait a little longer in hopes they would come up.  I know Hannah will be at them like crazy once taped.  Do you think I should do them now??  (sorry for going off topic on this thread)
  • Djamila also love to shred paper ... sorry, I meant she loves to read and unpack things, of course.  :))

Awesome pictures of your dogs, guys!

Where did you find that dog bed on picture 3 (reading.jpg)? That looks great, too!

  • Is that Rodney in the taping video?

No worries about going off topic on this thread.  It was meant as an "ice breaker" sort of thing.

When we taped Stax's ears, we wound up doing it twice and leaving the tape on for two or three days, if I remember correctly.  The second time, it was loose, but enough to just stay on, and he forgot about it being there.  A heads up, though, Rodney kept trying to remove the tape from his little brother's ears.  We had to keep them from playing together because Rodney wanted desperately to clean up whatever mess his little brother had gotten into, thinking he wound up with tampon applicators in his ears by mistake.  hahaha!

Nope, that's not Rodney in the video. Just another cute Bull Terrier puppy. He only needed the tape on for a couple applications and they were soon standing just fine. Here he is a little later showing off his ears:

  • @Djammy -- that is a Serta memory foam dog bed. It belonged to my rescue BT before I had Birdie. It has a blanket wrapped around it because Birdie was digging at it so much she was going to ruin the top. I got it at Sam's Club around the holidays for about $30 three or four years ago, but I have never seen them there again. Serta has other types of dog beds too. This is what it looks like without the blanket.

Birdie loves to shred paper and boxes. So did the last one. He would drag a package in from the front porch and try to go at it before I could even open it. It was a great day when the UPS man came by!

  • @Djammy  -- I guess it isn't memory foam, a the website says it it orthopedic egg crate with a pillow top. Or maybe mine is memory foam. The bed on the website looks the same, but isn't exactly because mine does not have a removable cover. I ended up making a cover so I could wash it. It has held up pretty well, but it wasn't going to withstand Birdie's digging. She isn't doing that so much now that she is older.
  • Thanks, Steve!  Rodney has a similar spot on his right eye, too, so it was hard to get a good look when I had the video expanded.  Here's Rodney.  The puppy is so sweet, so that definitely reminds me of Rodney, too.  :D

Haha, love her face in the last one.

Rodney is definitely a mustard dog!

@exiled - They do look a lot alike. Then again, they probably should because they are related. ;)
