Zeus
This is our first Bull Terrier named Zeus. He was born March 9, 2015 so he is 4 months old now. We got him when he was 8 weeks. He just recovered from a belly rash, we had to put that t-shirt on him so he would stop scratching it!

I love your little "BullieCorn" Icon... I see you are near me in frigid Florida.
We got Zeus and the kitten Athena a day apart so they could grow up together. He still gets too rough with her and we have to separate them. He still bites us sometimes too when hes mad or trying to play. We have been taking him to a group puppy training class at PetSmart. He made it 4 out of 6 weeks and the trainer recommended doing some one on one socialization sessions then having him repeat the course for free. He knows the tricks when we are at home and he listens to us, but when he gets to class with other dogs around he just wants to play and ignores everything else! Hopefully some socialization with other dogs will help him clam down quicker.
He had a belly rash that just cleared up. The vet put him on antibiotics for 2 weeks and we were giving him medicated baths, there was no change in his rash after the first week of antibiotics. I added Benadryl and a topical cream plus a t-shirt so he would stop scratching and making it worse. I'm so relieved it healed and hoping it doesn't come back. My best guess is it was from pesticides from grass he laid in when we were walking him around the neighborhood. I'm hoping its not a food allergy. Any insight would be appreciated!
He is 33lbs at 4 months. The breeder said he should be 55lbs but I'm not so sure about that!
Please let us know exactly what he is eating and drinking, in detail. That may supply some clue. If your breeder reckoned he should be at 55lbs in 4 months then it must be the first time he bred EBT's (Unless Zeus is a minature his weight is about perfect for now). ou happened to come to FL in the WORST summer I know of being here 26 years. And it's brutal on Bullie skin, keep him cool.
The breeder had him on Canidae Life Stages Chicken Meal & Rice Dog Food. He is still eating that plus lots of different dog treats. We were talking about switching him to a grain free food. What do you suggest?
I ran into a woman with a 2 year old mini bull terrier on the 13th. I got a good picture next to Zeus. The mini was 34lbs she said.
The mini doesn't look pure bred to me, hard to tell the weight.
He's a cutie! Glad to see the rash is starting to clear up. I visited Florida recently and in that thread (about Pine Needles) talked about Florida a bit and what has caused other bullies to get bumps and rashes. I think someone has mentioned pesticides and lawn treatments giving their bullie a rash, and other times it was bites from fleas or red ants (though I think you would have noticed these by now). I hope you can figure out the source and get him 100% cleared up. I second Phil on getting him on a better, grain-free food.
If Zeus is 34 pounds at 4 months I reckon he's going to be a big boy. Mine, though female, has maxed out at 50 pounds. She was always very petite as a puppy. I know that @BulliesofNC has had some massive boys, so maybe you can compare weights with him, but all bullies are different. Typically they will reach max height between 10 and 12 months but will fill out for 2 or 3 years. And it's hard to compare against miniature Bull Terriers because...well, technically they're a different breed.
We bought him a kiddie pool today for $10. I got a great video of him playing in the water for the first time! He loves attacking the water. Money well spent!

Here is his pool day video!
Zeus update: His rash has been gone since 07/31/2015!! His bald spot on his shoulder is filling in. He is biting less now that his adult teeth are coming in. He is doing better in his puppy classes and he is being nicer to the kitten! We took him to the vet hospital on Saturday because he threw up 7 times that day. My mother in law watched him on Thursday and he threw up a plastic Christmas tree star ornament on Friday. He tried to eat her fake tree. I was worried he had more plastic in him causing a blockage. He pooped out grass and sticks and is fine now. I was looking at your male and female bullies on the website and noticed that Ching Ching of Wendy Knoll sure gets around since he is on Zeus' pedigree too!

Ching Ching is actually the sire of my Female Kolohe who is an old lady now. Anyhow, here's a couple photos of I took of Ching Ching from a long time ago.

He is doing so much better with everything! Greeting people, walking on a leash, listening and biting, it's amazing how much progress he is making.
My husband and I were talking about getting another dog to keep him company. He loves other dogs so much and always wants to play with them. He isn't even phased if they are barking or growling at him, he just wants to play no matter what. We took him over to a friends house to play with their dogs and it was probably the best day of his life. He played for 3 hours straight then took a nap with them.
Our property manager approved us for another bull terrier but they all want so much money to adopt them ($400) and they usually say has to be an only dog, not many like cats either. I though a pit bull mutt would be a good compliment since they are both tough for rough play, but they said we can't have any pit bulls or pit bull mixes. Sadly I don't think rescuing another bull terrier is going to happen for us unless its a puppy, which is rare. I guess the best option is taking him to a rescue foundation and letting him find a friend to take home.
Zeus graduated his first obedience class and starts his next one on November 22nd. He is 51 lbs now at 8 months! Hope is 40lbs at 1 year.
I'm amazed how much Zeus matured from 6-8 months. He is doing great! Except for that big hole I caught him digging earlier....sigh [-(
When people ask what its like having a Bull terrier I tell them its like having a rhino/bull that eats like a alligator and looks like a pig/hippo )
Seriously though, he keeps swallowing stuff whole and puking it up. He has those giant teeth and decides he would rather swallow things whole. I started breaking stuff into smaller pieces.
Hope everyone is doing well! I love seeing other peoples dog pictures!

We are moving to a house with a pool on April 1st. I am nervous about teaching him how to swim. He loves his kiddie pool but has never been in deep water.
He is still getting along great with our rescue dog.
If you're worried about him swimming, you could always buy him a lifejacket to start out with. That way he can get some practice first and then you can take it off of him but be in the pool just in case. I'm not sure bullies are really known for their buoyancy but I know there are some good swimmers out there! (my bully is NOT one of them!)
