Ears not up yet !!

Hi there my 5 month old female bully 'Jenna" has one ear that are not upright as yet..at 1st the left ear was up and the right one down and now they have swapped---left down and right up !! is this normal...the male bully Jinx is 7 months old and both his ears was up early --3 months..

It isn't uncommon for a Bull Terrier puppy of his age to have ears that are not standing up by now. However, it is a concern and it's highly recommended that you start taping his ears in order to train them to stand. There's a ton of info here on how to fix this... don't give up... it will be worth it when both are standing... use the strong one to support the weak one.

I personally going through ear tapping till now. 

By 7 months old, my boy both ear still down.
Now my boy is 10 months with 1 ear up and 1 ear "up and down".
And i still tapping them. 

All i can say is: Don't give up! Be consistent! Check the ear condition everyday! Change the tape if get wet!

Follow the advice in this forum. It is the best!

Yes, he is such a good looking boy... I know at times it seems frustrating but keep trying..... 3 to 4 days up, one down for rest, then up again....keep going, it'll be worth it

Thanks for all the assistance..I taped the ear three days and its standing up..it changed Jenna`s face and attitude...

My bull terrier had his ears down until 4 months until following a YouTube video that shows your to use athletic tape to tape up the ears. I went and bought the tape and followed the instructions while thinking there was very little chance it would actually work. Not even a full week later my dog finally realized the tape was there and scratched it off and his ears were already straight up! This has been weeks, and they are still standing straight up. And also don’t worry, it doesn’t hurt the dog I was questioning that at first but he did not even realize the tape was there for days.

Yes, tape training is very effective for getting ears to stand erect and correct.

Hi, believe it or not but there really is no taping required only a half a spoon of dry gelatin mixed into his food twice a day until the ears are up???? worked for our little angel Zues

Zues’s Ear was torn by one in the pack when he was just born. As you can see on our profile picture but we started him on gelatin as stated and it’s really pick up beautifully and has very firm ears
