Roxanne had her surgery

So Tuesdaymorning we drove 4 hours so miss Roxanne could have her ankle surgery and also be fixed. All went well and we came home yesterday. She is on absolute very strict movement and kennel time for 4 weeks. Not sure just yet who this is more painful for. They found a fragment in her ankle and are sure this was what was making her lame. Her pain meds are giving her dry mouth as you will see in these photos. She yawned and then her gums stuck to her teeth giving her shark mouth . We love her. Oh and we were scolded by the tech that she is too mouthy and needs to have that curbed quickly (not barking either)

Poor Roxanne! But the worst is over and recovery time will go by quickly. I'm anxious to see future pictures of her running around and back to her normal self. She looks so lovable in those photos.

She does look like a mustard case in those photos, doesn't she Steve! Gorgeous! Watch the stitches closely, in my experience some white EBT's do not do well with certain compositions of suture material (our Isabella has to have Stainless Steel!)

Yikes Phil I will keep an eye on it. So far so good. Luckley the pain meds keep her quiet enough, she would bust and run if I would let her.

Definitely stick to the strict rest! We had to do it with a broken leg. It will be be very difficult for you both, but worth it. And maybe the the vet should stop being so tasty, your bullie wouldn't chomp on her so much.
