What is the absolute best dry food for puppy? TOTW salmon, TOTW bison or Acana?

First is the salmon TOTW for puppy better in nutritional terms than the bison TOTWpuppy? Are the differences relevant and significant?
Than is Acana really that good? I heard a lot of good things about Acana even that TOTW is very good, but not as good as Acana.

For me TOTW is way to expensive 30 pounds of weight for 70 bucks, this for the bison one. The Acana puppy large is 62 for 40 pounds.
But in the end what's matter is the quality and the health, so my real question is, is the TOTW(salmon or bison) even slightly better than the Acana? Or is the Acana the best, period?

  • Hi there! Have you been on dogfoodadvisor.com yet? if so that is a great place to start. I have never heard of Acana but we had used TOTW before. It wasn't $70 though. We found it for about $55 at Tractor Supply. It was $25 for the smaller bag. I found it to be a very good food, but our puppy just got too picky. Now we use Castor and Pollux GrainFree UltraMix. It has bits of fruits and veggies in it and is rated 5 stars on dogfoodadvisor. It is also $55 at Petsmart. I think any kibble rated 4 and up is good as long as there is a higher protein count for our very active Bullies! :)
  • My pup came from the breeder on a food I didn't like and I switched her to TotW. She did okay on it...poops were mostly okay, but she had problems due to ongoing giardia and her fur was dull and patchy in places. TotW also gave her terrible gas--worse than normal bull terrier stuff. I made the decision to switch her to Acana's limited ingredient diet. The patches in her fur went away and her hair overall had a better quality. I rarely had a problem with poops. I then decided to go completely grain-free with Acana after she got a bad yeast infection on her feet. She has done great on it. I personally would advocate Acana over TotW on all counts...I didn't have a bad experience with TotW, but I feel like it is only a good food, not a great food. It is overall cheaper than Acana. But you get what you pay for.
  • There are lots of very good grain free kibbles out there. We are currently feeding Maya Victor grain free. Which she seems to like. She can be very picky as well. As mentioned before www.dogfoodadvisor.com has some great info and ratings on dry, wet, raw, etc.
  • Anyone have an opinion on nutra ultra? A breeder recommended this to my wife and we have been using it. Now I see it is a 4 on that dog food site and not a 5.

As we all know, each dog is different and one that does great from brand of food another dog may not. If it were me that was comparing two or three 5 star grain free foods my decision wouldn't be based on ingredients or price as much as it would the overall results of the individual food.
As an example if I had a Bull Terrier who clearly didn't like to eat the 5 star grain free food I was providing him and his appetite was clearly dropping because he didn't enjoy the food I would not keep him on the food because of the nutritional factors in comparison to another food. I'd be more concerned about the volume of food consumed to ensure it's providing him ample enough for proper growth, development, and energy.
Here's a list of all the BEST grain Free kibble out on the market today: http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/best-dog-foods/best-grain-free-dog-foods/best-grain-free-dog-foods-dry/  The list is long and I'm sure they are all Very good quality foods especially based on the reviews they've received from their ingredients and nutritional value. There's no question each one is going to taste differently to every dog and one make work better with your dog than another one with higher values of protein.
    I concentrate on 4 factors:
    • Grain Free 5 star rated food
    • A food containing probiotics and proper nutrition for a high energy dog
    • A food that provides positive health results for MY dog
    • A food that my dog enjoys to eat and maintains appropriate weight

All foods mentioned in this discussion are great foods with high ratings based on the nutritional factors they offer. Now it's time to see which one your dog does better on and enjoys eating more than others.

  • First of all, thank you all for being so helpful.
    Now the responses.

First I am in Europe, so the brands and prices are different, example, we, at least here, don't have victor.

Than I would like to say that my dog is always ready to eat whatever I put in his plate lol. My review of TOTW is very good, he only had flatulence and thin yellow poop the first 2 weeks, but there was a disclaimer on the box, saying that is normal due to be grain free (bla bla bla), so there is normal. After the two weeks he has a great coat and he is getting bigger everyday. The only thing that I didn't like is that I need to put at least 50g day more than advised, because he will be always starving if I put less food.

Now the 4 star 5 star deal, From what I see from here http://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/best-dog-foods/best-puppy-foods/best-dry-puppy-foods-5-star/ Acana appears and TOTW don't. I don't know why, but at least it appears that ACANA is better than TOTW, but it appears that the kindle chosen for the test was not the puppy one neither for large breeds.

Even Though I think I will try and I will moisturize the food with grizzly salmon oil (we have it here, YES!), and I will see how he goes with it.

And for last, prices really matter when I am  trying to buy the best food for him, because if I pay 70$ for a 4 star kindle when you have a 5 star for MUCH less, I'm just being a sucker.

If he's not a picky eater and eating appropriate amounts of Acana than there's no reason to change up his diet. I must admit though, I often change up the diet with my Bullies (about every 3 months) so they can benefit from different from different ingredients, taste, and nutrition. It also keeps their appetite up and interest in eating food. Regardless what food their eating I also add meat and veggies to their food and they love it.
I think with the Acana and squirt of salmon oil your EBT is getting optimal nutrition from a well balanced diet that will keep him as healthy as possible. TOTW is actually a 4.5 star food which is why you're not seeing it show up in your 5 star grain free listing. It's still a great food that most Bull Terriers enjoy eating and do well with. Personally I prefer Victor as my first choice from all the foods.
Ok, now send us some pics of your EBT.  :-bd

  • i have come to the conclusion that bullies, ie; Apollo, will eat any kibble as long as there's something special in it. Like meat. LOL

We started on TOTW, no complaints, but Isabella didn't do too well on it... so we switched to Victor GF, they both loved that, but Isabella still had/ has skin issues. So we got our first shipment of Orijen today.... when I opened the pack in the garage the dogs were doing backflips in the kitchen from the aroma alone.... (I was really impressed with the vacuum packed bag).... Hopefully Isabella has a better reaction to it.  Marco will eat anything and look great!

  • Hey everyone. I have a 7 weeks old terrier, what will be the best food that I can give to my puppy? Is my first bull terrier, please any tips will be helpful. Thanks
  • BulliesofNCBulliesofNC Richlands, NC
Jared0712, welcome to the Forum. You question is very opinionated. The Best food for your Bull Terrier may not be the BEST food for another Bull Terrier. You'll find that most people who are providing their Bull Terrier a proper nutritional diet by using dry food (kibble) as their base are using some form of high quality grain free food. Which one is better for your Bull Terrier would depend on which one your Bullie prefer eats the most. It would make no sense to keep any dog on a high rated food if that dog barely ate it and lacked proper food intake.
There are several discussions on foods within the "Nutrition and Diet" category. Popular foods of choice for Bull Terriers are Taste of the Wild, Blue Buffalo Wilderness, and Victor. A lot also depends of availability of certain foods in your area.

  • I feed miss totw salmon puppy formula. She was on the fowl formula AND FOUL GASBOMBS OH LORD WE GOT. so I gave that bag of food away and started the puppy formula......now on grizzly salmon oil im thinking of feeding canned salmon miss DOESNT LIKE THE SALMON OIL AT ALL. SHE AVOIDS EATING IT. AND WILL EAT DOG BISCUUTS INSTEAD OF DOG FOOD. I MAKE HER HAMBURGERS NO SALT OR NOTHING she loves it. But does not like raw. I slice up beef only hotdogs to train her with. But my canned salmon idea is one SHED LIKE TO EAT IT. AND ITS GOT TO BE ALMOST CLOSE TO THE GRIZZLY SALMON OIL in nutritional value. ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE HELPFUL... I sometimes let her eat a few gummy bears. Or few starburst. She loves busibones and jumbones. I have been careful with rawhide. Rawhide rolls ONLY. THE BIG RECTANGLE CHIPS CAN CHOKE A BULLIE. I SWITCH ROLLS OUT WHEN SHE GETS THEM SOFT. I READ RAWHIDE can be dangerous to dogs. SO I SUPERVISE ALL RAWHUDE CHEWING. She loves chewing on rawhide more than anything else. It takes me back to her teething. I took away smoked pork bones she crushed them into shards like glass and I will not allow her to eat stuff that gojng to damage her digestive system. Hope I explained it well. Thanks guys. Ive LEARNED SOOOOO MUCH!!!

You know, I thought TOTW was good, I also thought Victor GF was good, until I tried Orijen and Pure Vita... I must say they have improved significantly. We have no problems with them eating at all, those two mixed with raw and some vegetables, (beans, potatoes etc.)
Biggest problem is cleaning up the poop... man they move mountains!!!.  Not too bad because I need the poop to shove down the Armadillo holes.  But I would stay away from chews as much as possible... ours have Bully Sticks and Virbac Tooth cleaners, that's it. Stay away from anything with sugar (gummys etc.) and human food... I find if you give them too much of what they "like",... burgers, hot dogs.... they won't eat the dog food.

alternating TOTW prairie w/ EVO red meat.
Chooba has always been a grazer, he'll eat a little, come back after a few,
eat a lil'more, this was consistant with the many brands/flavors I've tried of grain free kibble.
But EVO red meat dosent stand a chance.  He devours the stuff, but with the exorbitant protein content,
he's limited to EVO @ dinner only.

But since the change he's really sprouted.  Of course, he's at the age where he grows fastest anyway,
but there is a noticeable increase in mass.
  • When considering Orijen, keep in mind that the amount fed is different.  Rodney is thriving on Orijen Red, and he only eats half as much in quantity as he did with other foods.  It's great for him.  There's no way he'd be getting sugary human snacks...ever.  We don't give him any prepared table food at all, and he's fine with a treat like one frozen green bean or a grain-free dog snack.  He got extremely lucky out in the "pampered and spoiled" column, but he's totally out of luck in the "give me what you're eating" column.

@exiled... good for you... I know it's tough when they put those beady eyes on us and say "pretty please" without uttering a word!
@Chooba, where do you get EVO? we use Darwins, and they eat it, but I'm not sure how much is meat and how much is veggies.

    @philsergeant
I get it at a local pet supply store called Soldans.

    try this
    http://wtb.evopet.com/
  • Yes. I'm agreeing miss would eat dog biscuits and no dog food. I have totw canine formula NOT PUPPY. THATS GONNA GET ME GAS BOMBED. THATS Y AFTER FIRST BAG I gave it AWAY IM TRYING THE ORIJEN PUPPY FORMULA IM MIXING THE TWO. I OPENED THE TOTW bag not making sure. IT SHOULD B OK RIGHT????EXCEPT FOR THE FARTS.
  • TOTW is only about $47 for a 30lb bag in my area (Northern California) . $70 is crazy
  • philsergeantphilsergeant Palm City, Florida, USA
TOTW is fine, but in my opinion Orijien Puppy is far better... We are really lucky we never have a green cloud problem... don't know why, maybe it's the water.
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
  • No orijen is a few $$ shy of 80$ TOTW yeah is alot cheaper. YEA ITS GOT SELENIUM YEAST I read back of bag. But miss DIGESTS THE PUPPY FORMULA BETTER THAN THE CANINE. I JUST OPENED THE BAG and it was the CANINE FORMULA on the totw. I got two bags of food to transition her to the orijen I DONT WANT TO UPSET her stomache. So I'm mixing the two n my empty bag. BUT IT MAKES COMPLETE SENSE TO FEED THEM AS BEST AS YOU CAN SO TO CONTROL THAT YEAST and everything else. Miss has yeast infection or whatever. So on my comment about the SELENIUM YEAST IN THE ORIJEN I WAS WRONG AGAIN. I READ THE BACK OF THE BAG. and its the last part on ingredients on bag.
I don't have worms. IVE BEEN SIK.
BUT IT MAKES COMPLETE SENSE TO FEED THEM AS HEALTHY AS U CAN CAUSE ITLL SAVE U MORE $$$ than paying the vets. I trust mine but like when we took her to EMERGENCY VET all she could tell us is what wasn't wrong. That was a scary day. So I'm hoping the orijen balances everything out. Plus the salmon oil. ILL GET THE COCONUT WHEN I GO OUT TO RUB ON THE TOE NAILS. DO U GUYS ADD IT TO THE FOOD TOO.
MY hubby WAS MAKING MISS TO MANY BURGERS. AND I have had to cut it DOWN. AND EXPLAIN DOGS DONT NEED SEASONING. AND I HAD TO MAKE HIM QUIT GIVING HER CHIPS TOO. IVE GOT TO LOOK UP the medication miss and rot r taking.
  • Giving update on the orijen IM GLAD IM STILL MIXING WITH TOTW PUPPY THIS IS SECOND BAG OF BOTH AND IM MIXING THE TWO IT SEEMS THE ORIJEN CAUSES THE RUNS. SO IM MIXING THE TWO then squirt the grizzly salmon oil.
Has anyone experienced that with the orijen
I know cause I've ran thru ALOT OF DIAPER WIPES. I STARTED ADDING MORE ORIJEN AND THE STOOLS WERE LOOSER it says to mix old with new for 7 days I've done it a month ON ALL DOGS AND BIANCA HAS GOTTEN DINGLE berries ON HER BACK FUR
It seems like its supposed to be good food but someone else said that it gave their bull loose stools
I figured going back and mixing one part totw to half part orijen
I'm trying to get miss to eat more dogfood and less treats and DOG BISCUITS she REALLY LOVES DOG BISCUITS she snook n the no Missy room door was cracked and ATE A WHOLE BOX and her coat showed it. I didn't buy anymore my hub picked them up for her so I've got it down to 4-6 a day.
So instead of one bag a month I've gotten the two AND SOMEONE IS EATING IT. I STILL SUSPECT THE ROTTY IS RESPOMSIBLE FOR THAT.
    I MAY SWITCH TO CANIDAE
  • See dad uses canidae lamb AND HES GOT A BIG MONSTER . I have CUT OUT GUMMIES AND STARBURST. it was only few bears or starburst. No more of me sharing my food. Its the orijen red until I got a BULLIE I've never really heard of totw I NEVER CHECKED. BUT THATS A GREAT IDEA CHANGING THE GRAINFREE KIBBLE UP.
ILL GRAB SOME OF DADS CANIDAE AND LET U GUYS KNOW.
  • philsergeantphilsergeant Palm City, Florida, USA
Orijen is great... Maybe the change was too sudden... Good job you gone back to the slow transition. Also try adding some origanum, about a teaspoon per meal... That stiffens the stool up.
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
  • Oh Mr PHILSGT yeah IVE BEEN SLOWLY ADDING IT FOR A MONTH AND THE MORE I ADD the loser it gets. I'm thinking if I mix less orijen. Thank you I'll look up that stuff I have never heard of it. Oh boy that'll b great if it hardens it up a bit.
    Thank you
Oh I noticed that there's different puppy brands what do u think of the other orijen
I'm pretty lucky we have a small store that I can go and buy it INSTEAD OF ORDERING ON INTERNET
Here n Tn tractor supply or Smoky mt grain and feed are the only two places that carry totw but the grain and feed store carry the salmon oil ITS GREAT TO HAVE ONE STORE IN MY AREA THAT CARRIES GOOD FOOD FOR MY FURRY FRIENDS
Cause I suspect that miss got ahold of the puppy chow I got for the rot pup to transition her to totw AND I BET THATS THE CULPRIT OF MISS'S YEAST INFECTION yeah it cleared up I THINK IT WAS A MILD CASE but over a month ago I checked her ears and she had this brown stuff yeast n her ear
So I got the phytovet antiseptic flush to flush ears and it dries up any moisture

@jcurtis... I love the way you care for your baby... i know it's frustrating finding the best food for dogs because they are all different.  I never had great results with TOTW, but others have... I have found the best to be Pure Vita, GF with Turkey... but I still use Orijen Puppy GF too.... But that's only 25% of their diet, they get Raw chicken or turkey or duck, and raw eggs 3 times a weeks and semi-cooked veggies... I mix and match to give variety and they poop mountains!image

  • OK Kool I'll look up raw recipes yea I haven't been giving her anymore gummies there chewy and that's why. So get the raw recipes and pure vita and mix her diet up. Yea I suspect those darn dog biscuits has stopped her growing I GLAD I realized that. 40.3 is her weight and she's not thickened up yet yea I'll concentrate on diet INSTEAD OF RUNNING TO THE VET YEA Phil I was freaking out when she felt bad and accumulated ALOT OF VET BILLS it's funny now but when a bullies doesn't feel well THE LOOK PITIFUL
But yea I'm making her new years resolution for her so that's what it's going to be A HEALTHIER
My mom told me to treat her like a newborn baby ANZ I HAVE so now IT'S TIME FOR MISS TO HAVE FUN.
SHE'S GONNA TO BE SAD when the rot leaves.
  • Oh yea Mr Phil its not Missy the thirty piles I shoveled up of her Missy's its been firm a few loose with more orijen the puupy is very loose and so with Bianca I HAVE TO CLIP HER DINGLE BERRIES OFF. DIAPER WIPES can't GET IT OFF!!!! orijen is affecting them more. Its too much protein can be bad some times

  • Thank you Mr PHILSGT for giving me a kudos for the way I take care they got me sukrd
But at least I'm fortunate to spend time with my furry friends dad helps me a lot but taking a loss in money to spend with my critters. IM STILL Laughing over all the vet bills. I mean up there DAD PAYA THEM PLUS HIS ROT HAD RINGWORM its a puppy thing their low immunity
I love dressing them up THATS Y IM LUCKY TO HAVE U GUYS SORRY FOR SPYING ON DANIELLE I deleted her immediately from everyones response.

  • I couldn't too, get mine on orijen, I had to mix it up for the whole bag. He had a stomach problem and when he was ok, the mix (20 orijen 80 totw) wasn't working no more. After, Totw (adult formula, he is 10 months, but the puppy one doesn't work) (that never gave a solid stool for more than a week) started to work perfectly, he is eating like a horse (3x180g) and every time, his stools are dark and solid.
  • Yea that funny looking dog is smoke my neighbors dog. That's y I bought a female. Oh and smoke bites miss. But she seems to love it....I called my dog food place THANK HEAVENS FOR THEM I explained the orijen with them AND THEY INSISTED I BRING IT BACK. it does give very loose stools cause they need to b firm and compact or ANAL GLAND EXPRESSING MAY HAVE TO BE DONE! SO TOM IM TAKING THE ORIJEN RED BACK. IM almost thinking I'll try the canidae my dad uses it. FOR YEARS NO PROBLEM. BUT YEA FEEDING YOUR BULLIE AS BEST AS POSSIBLE MAKES SENSE. PURE VITA I may try that. I explained to her bullies can get yeast infections. Y DONT I STAY WITH TOTW. I AM. IM BUYING 2 BAGS ONE TOTW ONE NEW ONE.
I HAVE TO LAUGH MY *** OFF. GOOD THING DAD DIDNT KNOCK MY TEETH OUT. JOKING. EVERYTIME ALMOST MISS WASNT MISS I CRIED AND RAN TO THE VET. well one time I thought what if its poison. THATS Y I SHARED THAT. THEY LOOK SO PITIFUL WHEN THEIR SICK I freaked. I'll post some pics of my MOTLEY CREW. THE PUP WILL GO HOME IN 8 WEEKS the Rotty. THEY PLAY HARD AND MISSYS SCABS HAVE FALLEN OFF. found a few on the pup. She's fifty ponds the rot and she deserves everything she gets from miss. BUT MISS TAKES ALOT AND SHES PATIENT AND SHARES AND TEASES AND AGGRAVATES I MADE VIDEOS its pointless u can't see the rot and miss looks like she's seeing ghosts and the raised places under Miss's white coat is prob bite marks the Rotty top front teeth has fallen out so she's not biting miss full force but IF MISS WANTED TO SHE COULD HURT THIS PUP. when rot bites her leg miss bites hers or on the ear. I notice and LEARNED ITS HARM LESS DOG PLAY. THE DOG U SAID TO PUT ON A BOAT PHILSGT. HAS A NEW MATE. IM AFRAID HER AND MISS are really gonna miss each other. I let a friend who lost two ROTTIES to cancer take baby for three days MISS BARKED FOR DAYS AND WHEN BABY CAME HOME SHE WAS SO EXCITED I HAD A SLEEPLESS NIGHT SO MISS IS GOING TO BE LONELY. And PERHAPS ANOTHER DOG ISNT THE ANSWER I GOT BIANCA AND SHES AWFUL TO MISS . The ringworm healed up good AND I DIDNT GET IT NEITHER DID MISS AND BIANCA. OH AT MY DOGFOOD STORE THEY SELL GRIZZLY SALMON OIL ALOT OF PEOPLE USE IT. AND NOT JUST FOR BULLIES......... GOSH GUYS SORRY IM ADD. BUT I SEARCHED THE WORLD OVER AND WHEN I SAW HER I HAD TO HAVE HER. OH AND IM EVER SO PROUD AND THANKFUL. I TOLD DAD unless ur willing to serve a bullie u don't need one. I'm not saying worship but to serve. ILL TAKE A PIC TODAY. SORRY FOR THE SCRATCHES ON HER SNOUT AND JAWS. SHES BEEN HAVING FUN.

  • I switched Loki over to TOTW pacific stream puppy from the high prairie puppy and he doesn't like it. He's sooo picky. I've tjought about trying the Orijen but it's so fricken expensive $75 for a 30lb bag of puppy food and $85 for adult. TOTW is about $48 a bag in my area but he doesn't seem to like it too much. Hardly seems to eat. He's not starving but isn't putting on weight like I'd think he would be at 7months. He's weighing in at about 46lbs right now.

Have you ever tried mixing in some good quality canned food? It isn't uncommon for dogs of all breeds to get finicky with any dry food. However, supplementing the food with meat, eggs, veggies, or canned food is often an easy way to appease their taste buds which allow them to eat a higher volume of food.

  • Well I broke down and bought a 15lb bag of Orijen puppy today and mixed it with the TOTW and he wolfed it down and ate a lot more then he normally does. He seems to really like it, although I'm not sure if it's just because its new or if he genuinely likes it but we will see how it goes. Pictures were from yesterday and it was his first experience with snow.

  • I've been thinking of switching off TOTW ....Maya's farts make me leave the room. Anyone have this issue with TOTW, or maybe it's just a BT thing  ;))
  • I think any high quality grain free food will make these dogs clear a room lol. I just switched Loki to Orijen puppy to see if he would like it better then TOTW. Loki seems to only eat little bits at a time and every once in awhile will eat a whole bowl. If we add stuff to his food he will eat all of it unless it's something he can pick out. So right now I'm feeding him a 50/50 mix of the TOTW with the Orijen. He seemed to woof it down while we were out of town in Oregon but when we got back it was back to only little bites at a time.

Same happened to me, I bought a bag of Orijen 6 fishes and he wouldn't eat shit of it, I had to mix it with TOTW high praire, that I had some mixed feelings and end up f**king up my baby, as the bags of puppy never gave him a good stool, the adult on other hand is great, good stools, a lot of good energy, very muscular, still thin, but great muscle (the guy has a straight line horizontal from his rib cage to the end of his belly, wtf is this muscle LOL

This is why it's difficult to recommend one type of food for every Bull Terrier. No two Bullies are the same. So if yours hates the Orijen there are many other 5 star grain free foods to try and I'm confident there will be a few that your Bullie will really enjoy.

Here's a list of Grain Free foods. This website will provide you a full analysis of each food as well as a rating. It's a good way to research foods prior to spending the money on them so you can better your chances of finding the right food for your Bull Terrier.

  • Did you try the yellow/orange bag of Orijen puppy? Loki doesn't seem to like fish flavor but likes the other stuff. When I was feeding him TOTW I was giving him the prairie puppy food (bison and venison) and he ate more of that then he did the fish flavored one I switched to. I was trying to get him to eat more but when I switched to the fish flavor he ate even less which is why I switched to Orijen puppy. He seemed to like it a lot more but I do still add stuff to his food to get him to eat all of it (coconut oil, green beans, lamb lung crisps, Greek yogurt on occasion) it seems to be the only way I can get him to eat a full bowl. He has been eating MUCH better in the last week I've been feeding him these mixes, and finally has started to put on some weight.

  • I have been thinking about adding some raw food into Loki's diet. Does anyone have recipes for a young bully? He's about 8 months old now.
  • A lot of people do the raw IM NOT cause of salmonella . they say u can boil ground beef chikn livers and white rice RINSED SEVERAL TIMES. TURKEY TOO.
YEA I MIXED A BAG OF CANIDAE lamb WITH TOT . AND GOT A FIRM TURD I FOUND MY SOCK WHILE SCOOPING up GOLDMINES. FRI night I boiled liver and white rice. Sat night deboned chikn and white rice fed kibble n am. I'm doing slow acclimation. Cause feeding UR bully the right stuff will reduce yeast and skin problem . MY BULL IS ADDICTED TO DOG BISCUITS SHE WANTS THOSE AND NO FOOD. SHES THIN TO ME. YEA HARD BOILED EGGS IS A GOOD IDEA I READ SOMEWHERE TO CRUSH UP EGGSHELLS with THE EGGS AND FEED IT to THEM. ILL LET you KNOW HOW THAT WORKS.
  • Quinn had very bad gas on TotW, especially on the fish flavor. We switched off to Acana's limited ingredient diet food (not grain free), and eventually had to make the switch to entirely grain free. After switching off of TotW, we noticed several improvements, including her being LESS stinky!! Thank the lord...

However I will say that it seems that fish flavors/varieties don't seem to agree with Quinn from any brand. I used to feed her Acana's grain free fish variety in the rotation, but I had to stop because it would cause stinky farts, questionable poops, and sometimes upset tummy. :(
