I don't have access to all that info, I haven't signed up for infodog yet, so thank you! Maybe it has something to do with his registration number? T1111111? I'm going to assume he was from Canada, so maybe he wasn't properly registered on time, I know you can show under a forgien registration, but it it's only a 30 day allowance unless you ask for an extension while waiting for the AKC paperwork.
Yes, and it's usually updated on the website which is (or should be) the same info as AKC. No mention on the owners facebook page other than the Win. His AKC records show the points awarded. Very Odd. If he was DQ'd it would also mean a different winner for BW and there's no mention of that female receiving that win. Her records are below. She actually turned CH that day after getting a 5 point major in her class. Looks like she is starting BOV for GCH points now.
It appears as though a couple of the club members are using their UKC Perm Reg # vice AKC #. I'm not sure why especially when they have AKC #'s.
How come you choose to use your other Reg # vice AKC?
I had to use his foreign because I wasn't going to get his AKC registration back in time for the entry deadline. Long story short, they lost my pictures and I had to resend them. It's funny, because I got a second notice saying the pictures were missing and I was peeved, so I called right away and she said they had them. My whole experience seemed a bit unorganized on their end, because I know I sent everything in correctly, twice. I would have been more relaxed about it if the show deadline wasn't getting so close, I didn't want to use his foreign.
I hope the AKC isn't playing with my heart strings, I was so excited to see the letter and even more when I logged into my AKC account and saw the points, but now that everything is pointed out I have no idea how it's going to play out. I would love for him to have the points, that's a great boost for us!
UKC are the ones who offer Permanent Registry, as if AKC registry isn't? The bloodlines from the EBT's with the different Reg numbers all come from Bullistics (Canada) and if you go to their Facebook page they seem to be proud of their UKC Perm Reg - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Bullistic-Bull-Terriers-Perm-Regd/116596088383703
Taco and I went to a show today and I asked about the DQ, and was told that it was an incorrect registration number. I don't know if she did it knowing or not, but seeing as they're in Canada, I don't think she cares much about AKC points since she avidly shows under their KC. Unless you can mesh those points together? I'm not sure how it works.
But today Taco did well! He earned two points today! Yayyyy!! I was surprised he won because I honesty wasn't in the mood to go emotionally and I think he fed off that a bit since he was being a tad bit difficult today. But we pulled through in the end!
Most of them are about an hour, or two hour drive from me, so it's doable for me. I would hate to imagine how long of a drive yours is. It's hard to get points if there is not enough dogs entered, I was being shown how the system works yesterday, and even if some are entered you won't know if they show up until the day of.
@Boyda - Yes, it's a gamble for us at every show and most that result in majors are out of state. You're correct in saying you just don't know who's going to show up and who isn't. What makes it worse is often when you check how many paid and signed up a couple days before the show and then they mysteriously drop from the show you can't help but to wonder if there are a few who are consciously avoiding competition which may hurt their current rankings. There's too many people planning certain shows and stacking their own dogs for easy wins and points earned. I sure wish there were more Bull Terriers showing around here but I'm trying my best through our BTCNC and word of mouth to get people motivated. There's going to be a fairly local show around this area in October and I'm going to try my best to make it a big showing of Bull Terriers for both colored and white classes.
