Adding Wet Food to Dry diet

Currently Penny is on TOTW Pacific and I was thinking of adding a canned wet food (considering Kirkland Cuts in gravey)

Penny is about 11 - 12months old and I've been giving her 3 cups per day of TOTW along with Grizzly Oil and Nupro Gold

What is the best way to add the Wet food and what is the best way to introduce it to her system and what ratio...

Very confused!

Thanks!

  • Hey Ed, what I noticed when introducing Spud while he was on Nature's Domain (Kirkland) Grain Free Salmon and Sweet Potato and switching over to Victor's GF I simply added 1/3 to 1/2 a can of ND's wet dog food - the Turkey/Sweet Potato mix instantly into his diet. Didn't have any issues. My understanding is that it's typically the same food but obviously a step above because it's prepared with the natural cuts.

His stool was exactly the same after.

I don't think you need to be worried at all about mixing in some canned wet food. If you wish to start off with a small portion that's perfectly fine. Just give your Bullie 2 cups of food and two spoonfuls of canned food mixed in. I'm confident Penny will love the added taste and eat it right up without any problems and I don't think you'll see any negative effects what so ever. Once you gain confidence in the mix you can always add more.

I don't think we've ever seen any photos of Penny... And that's in contravention of our rules & regulations.... WE NEED PICTURES! I am sure she'll love the wet food addition... You could also get chicken breat and boil it.. But cheaper and better.

  • Oh my gosh she is gorgeous!! I've always loved the near-solid brindles. She looks fab. And her eyes, so expressive! Her and the young boy (your son?) are going to be best buds. :)

I don't think you can get better pictures with a "real" camera.... The one with your boy (#4) needs a frame.
Now I know where they come with the phrase "Pretty Penny"...Looks like you live somewhere exotic?
