Hey how's it going I'm Hector new owner of my first bull terrier Ciroc. He's about 8 weeks old. But lately I've experience the same problem other people are having with the nipping and he's starting to break skin.

Welcome to the nipping club! He looks really cute with a lot of potential to grow into a handsome boy. You'll be able to read everyone's methods of defeating the nipping and other Bullie tendencies .... also you should start ear taping and Gelatin supplements soon... Hope he is on a grain free diet. He looks a little like "Petey" from the Little Rascals. Ciroc has about another 1000 "NO's" before he starts really listening well. The more firm you are with his discipline the quicker it will be for him to understand he can't get away with bad behavior. If you've read through some of the past threads on nipping and biting you've probably already learned about the "Pin" method which has been proven to be affective.
I've never met a laid back, timid, or shy Bull Terrier puppy that didn't nip or have wound up energy like a tazmanian devil ready to pounce on anybody or anything that's going to show a reaction. They are little terrors when they're young and they need plenty of time to exert their energy and blow off steam. Try not to judge his bad behavior right now as an indicator of any form of possible aggression or temperament problem he'll be stuck with as an adult. Some of the most gentle and laid back Bullies I've owned were pure terror as puppies and as stubborn as they come. Give Ciroc time to mature and you'll see a whole new side to him. The more you train and discipline him the faster the progress will be. Please keep us posted while on your journey.

Thanks so much I'm going to start taping soon and also he's is eating simply nourish puppy chicken and rice food right now. Should I switch his food or is that ok.

@Hector_C - simply nourish isn't a Bad food but due to the ingredients containing grain it may not be the best suited for this breed. I have heard others say simply nourish gave their puppy loose stool as well.
Most people on this forum that are providing their Bull Terrier with kibble foods are utilizing 5 star Grain Free foods like Blue Buffalo Wilderness, Taste of the Wild, or Victor.

We get the same when walking Maya. She's the "Target Dog" to the kids in the neighborhood and the "Spuds McKenzie" dog to the older folks.

When you switch foods try and blend with the old brand so the sudden change doesn't bring about the runs. Chicken and rice is a good base to start to bring in a good kibble brand until you are 50/50... Then slowly bring in some raw until you are third/third/third.

Raw chicken, raw beef, raw duck, raw bison, raw turkey.... You can buy it frozen online or at the store, or you can just give him raw meat from the store if you buy it fresh (more expensive).  Unless you know a butcher who will give you cheap cuts.

Start off with one basic meat source like chicken, that's my only suggestion, I started Spud on drumsticks and then on to chicken quarters. Threw in beef and pork two months after and he doesn't respond well to either so straight chicken, turkey or fish now.

Welcome to the wonderful world of EBTs.  Good (Grain Free) protein and a million NOs.  He is a good looking Bullie but still a puppy.  His puppy state will go to @14 months.  Make sure everyone in the house does the same.  If he gets away with things with 1 person it will be hard to correct.  They are very smart.
