Possible sprain

So tonite Roxanne jumped up so excited to see me and slipped on the hardwood floor and now she is limping on her front leg. It doesn't seem to be broken at all, I have put her in her kennel to be quiet with a bone. Should I give Her anything?

It's good that you put her in her kennel so she can relax and stay off it. Keep an eye on her and ensure she keeps off it without excitement and play. In the event she's still limping on it tomorrow I'd recommend that you have an x-ray done to insure she didn't fracture it.

Awww, hope she's better tonight and back to being herself.  She's a cutie, so it's sad to hear she's hurting.

It was so sad I had just got home and had her lead to take her on a quick run and she was so excited darn slippery floors--how that is possible with all the dirt on them . Steve yes, definitely will be calling the vet tomorrow if she is gimping at all.

Maybe give it another day if it settles? Spud one day had lameness in his right paw/leg after 2 hours at the dog park once. I ended up taking him to the vet to pay $40 to be told to give him rest. After a day or so he was all good.

So the vet said she has a very bad sprain, gave her a shot to help. Have to keep her quiet,,,,,,,good grief, keep a wild devil quiet . Very happy that is all it is!

Roxanne will bounce back quickly. Bull Terriers are tough as nails. However, sometimes their energy level as puppies can cause self induced injury especially from jumping. They're fearless and leap off sofa's, stairs, etc.

She wanted to play so bad last nite. This morning limping but I expect that, the shot evened out over nite. She is definitely fearless, and a scary cat too I think by the time she heals she will be wound tighter than a top!

so now I can see her outer toe is swollen ..... We have been trying to keep her quiet, it is so sad, she tosses her toy and just looks at us. She finally broke and took off on one of those bionic mad runs through the house lapping twice- I could not catch her. She looked like a corvette hugging the floor as she flew by me! She has done this twice now, I will have to call the vet tomorrow. Steve, what do you think?

She sounds like the typical Bull Terrier at her age where she feels no pain and has more energy than sense. It's almost impossible to keep a young Bullie from unleashing their energy surge and going for broke with excitement through the house like an amped up cheetah.
However, in the event she had serious pain she'd be tending to it with a limp and a tad bit of caution. I'd still try my best to keep her from too much play. That's difficult to do with any young EBT but if your excitement is low her demeanor will adjust too. It just might take a minute or two to recognize.
On a good note, they are strong and heal fast. Give Roxanne a little more time and you'll see her bounce right back with no signs of injury. Just keep her activity to a minimum until she's all healed up.

Here she is, hates to be put in her quiet spot . She is still limping, we have snow so when I take her out it is like icing it so hopefully it will help.

She's so darn cute in her quiet spot.  Hope she gets more and more like the amped up cheetah.  I can't stop laughing at Steve's description of BT puppies like amped up cheetahs, because it's so true.  Roxanne looks so healthy and beautiful.  I know you'll feel better when she feels better, and do hope it's soon.

I'm amazed that that Pig is still intact... Or is that Roxanne? :-)
I'm sure she'll get over it in a day or so. It's happened to all our kids.
Not too much pampering though... she'll enjoy that too much.

The pig has a "gouge" in his back I know to watch them run all crazy is just like that! Phil, I think it's too late, I was carrying her to the door because it was such a long way from our bedroom and she started to sit and look at me "whAt no ride?"

I hope so, I did call the vet and she was concerned that her toe is swollen now as it shouldn't be, so she may have done something on that cheetah run

Phil, that is what I am thinking, she wants to see her this week, she couldn't get her in last week. I did get her something she doesn't like, to keep her for tearing thru the house can you tell . By the way she loves mango fruit bars
