Last day of the year. I can truthfully say that our year was enhanced and made much better by the arrival of our beloved Maya. In fact, it seems the highlight of our day here in Honduras is when Lizzie "face times" her friend that is caring for Maya and we can all see her in real time. Another highlight to our year has been Steve's forum of bullie lovers that has been a source of great advice, information, and long distance friendship. .

Big time eats on the menu today: carne asada, frijoles fritos, platanos fritos, chorizos, queso duro, quesillo, y tortillas caseras. We also have dulce de tres leches for dessert. And one big ass Hello Kitty piñata filled with about 10 lbs of candy for the kids (and willing adults). We'll have about 25 here at Hacienda Altamira tonight to ring in 2014.

@philsergeant...at an elevation of almost 4000 feet we are probably close enough to the satellites for a GPS fix. But you would then have to get past the armed security at the main gate, then pass the armed security on the property....as well as Ziggy, the biggest damn chocolate lab I have ever seen!

Our wishes for all of you for this coming year is that you have health, happiness, contentment, love, and success. But heck, we all have bullies so we're ahead of the game anyhow.

Food was good @Boyda. I spent about 2 hours on the grill last night. Once midnight rolled in I was toast. I made the rounds of hugs and Happy New Year wishes, then off to the rack around 0030.

@Steve...thanks. I have some great underwater video. I just have to edit all the footage into one video and I am a novice at that. So it may take a while.

Wow, those pictures are awesome. So darn cute in that winter outfit.  I can't believe how big she's gotten. What are you feeding her? She looks fabulous! I love that first photo!!!! Her character is written all over her face!

We have been giving her frozen marrow bone slices-teething and I had graduated her to rib bones but the excess meat on them is too much for her......poops,,,so then we gave her chicken and rice, now I put a little in her food. You would think I was putting gold on it the way she gets so excited. How about this toothless one? Top teeth are starting in now.
She is quiet funny and awful At the same time but we are working through it. She is training really good with "out, sit, down and stay and on your bed (that one is for her bone not to be on the floor) ". Come and stay are harder

No, I don't think she's too big at all. She looks excellent. That photo above with outside in the snow sitting down looks really nice of her. She's very thick and muscular. You have her looking good and healthy. She's got a nice head and short thick muzzle. Her bone structure looks a lot like her father.
