Thin fur

So Sookie is doing well as far as her poop, energy level and seems to be putting on some weight. Now it seems as if her fur is thin in certain areas. Mainly the ears and feet. The fur on her tail is thin in the middle and the her spine. I read somewhere on the forum that white bullies coat may appear thin but it seems to be too thin. I'm thinking she may still be adjusting to her diet. As soon as I can get her to be still I'll post some pics. I'll be taking her to the Vet in two weeks but just wanted some opinions. She's eating TOTW Prairie formula for puppies. I caught some puppy TOTW can food Salmon formula on sale at Petsmart but haven't started her on it completely yet do to her diarrhea

  • Was able to snap a few pics. The pics don't really show how thin the fur is on her ears and feet. Maybe it's just me. When I see pics of pups online the coat seems to be fuller all around. What do you guys think?
  • She just needs a little boost in her immune system, so I would
Stick her on some vitamins that will help in that area. Usually, white does have thinner fur, but it's a consistent and not thin in random spots.

I agree completely with Boyda. I think it's her immune system.

  • Stick her on vitamins and you'll be golden. Steve's link is a great product, so I would suggest those. Even if she didn't have the minor fur loss, I would still suggest an immune booster, BT's need the extra boost in their baby stage.

Wow, before you posted the pics I thought it was going to be a lot worse than that... After all she has been through... Precious little thing.... You are going to need have a lot of patience before a thicker coat grows in, it could take months.... Lots of good food and supplements.... I'd give her a coconut oil rubdown at least once a week... ( the thick stuff).... But it's mostly nutrition and keeping her digestive system solid. Don't be afraid to give her some acidophilus regularly until her stool is nice and solid.

  • It looks thinner than the pics actually show. Coconut oil and acidophilus? I'll Google both and try to find them in my area.

Coconut Oil you can find in the food isle at your grocery store... Must get the thick white stuff ..... Not the runny oily clear stuff....I'll post a pic of the one we use in a minute.
( that's why those sexy island girls have that slinky black hair... They rub coconut oil on it all the time... Well they ask me to, but I'm too busy) :-)
Acidophilus, you can get at the health food store... Or good food store... It's a capsule... Little expensive, best kept in the fridge. .... Stick it inside a treat or "pill pocket"
Also you could rb bag balm on the really balding spots like her tail.

    Here it is:
