Ear Taping
Hi, my Trevor is 19 weeks and has the most massive floppy ears! we've tried taping them for a few days and the only stayed up a few hours. I've been adding gelatine to his diet to boost the cartilage but it doesnt seem to help. Any ideas??

If you tape the ears as shown in the video Craig made you'll notice that he's using the card board applicators from tampons. The reason these work so good is because (1) they are the perfect size (2) the ears wrap around them perfectly (3) they are hollow and allow air to enter the ears so they can breath and prevent trapping in dirt, moisture, and anything else that can cause problems as well as irritate the ears.
The way you taped the ears may work to get the ears to stand but they don't look symmetrical. Plus I think Thor might find it more irritating then he would if his ear canal wasn't taped shut.

For Romans ears i Got gelatine from tesco little sachets sprinkled a third of the sachet in his meals with cottage cheese no taping and within a week bang ears up but have since found out he doesn't do well on dairy lol
The gelatin I used was the one for baking from tesco as knox is just the brand I think I mixed that with cottage cheese and his food done the job just fine no taping and Romans ears were very heavy
The little puppy u have looks like a little cutie I hope that turns out for u well and we will all help as much as possible Romans skin is all cleared just about stopped yogurt and added ACV to his meals and little sulphur
I did it for 5 days
I only did it once a day what age is puppy but
Round about the 4/5 month age she could be teething and ears sometimes go all over the place but a little gelatin in her food will help plus if she is ok with dairy a bit of cottage cheese a day will help about a tablespoon in one of her meals
Yes usually the heavy ears end up big dogs a little tape gelatin cottage cheese will all help I just know having spoke to the secretary of bull terrier club in the uk and she said if ears have been up during teething they can go down but should always come back up however with you not knowing this dog as a puppy you should probably give the ears a hand
