Stumped by my Bullies actions

My 2 year old female last night about 4 a.m. let out two loud yelps from her carrier. I woke up and heard her panting hard so I took her to the couch and sat with her. She was shaking and spooked. She stayed that way all day and night. She eats, drinks, and has pooped normal. I have checked her temp and its good. When were outside shes better but when we come back in the house she goes and sits in another room by herself. She normally loves playing with the other two bullies but not since this happened. I don't know if she's starting her heat cycle, she hasn't spotted or lost any blood. I'm at a loss for this action. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

  • I wonder if she got a foot or body part pinched by her crate, is she scared of her crate now??

I'm with Leslie... You'd swear that the "engineers" that design crates never owned a dog in their lives.  There are so many places where their paw slides through, and then when they stand up or move the angle pinches like crazy.... The best they could come up with was printing words like "remove collar" as a disclaimer.... Oh, and yes, always remove collar.
In the beginning God created English Bull Terriers, in the image of EBT's, God created all other breeds.
  • Not to mention the crazy positions in which they sleep.

  • No the crate is okay. She still is avoiding everyone today so far. No temp 100.5 I think she acts scared and depressed.

  • Is it possible she injested something foreign???? Maybe give her some chicken and rice. This was Phils advice to me when Brutus Ate something he shouldn't have and it works like a charm. When their not feeling well this can come across as depression or scared.

  • Check your smoke alarms.  My Lab acted that way.  We finally figured out he could hear the noise from the smoke alarms before we could.  The 4D batteries were going dead.  My lab hates high pitch noices, or loud noises.  I had to take the batteries out in every room, since we could not determine which one was causing the noise.  Once we put new batteries in all of them he stopped doing it.

  • Not an expert by any means but just looking at Maya's crate and I could tell it was full of potential pinch and grab hazards. Outside of that, could it be that something, oh I dunno, like a spider may have gotten in there and bitten her? Again, just brainstorming here. Probably wrong as usual, just ask my wife!
