Hii everyone im new on this forum I have two bull terrier puppies and they mean alot to me their part of my family. I had a question if any one can help me and it would truly be appreciated. I have my puppies currently on vitamins and fish oil, and im worry if too much.protein is bad for them. Since I got them new vitamins with 6% protein and im feeding them pedigree. Welcome to the forum Django. First of all get them off the Pedigree. Horrible dog food because it's full of grain. Secondly, and I'm no expert, but dogs are carnivores. I don't think that you can overdue the protein in their diets. Others with much more experience than I have will chime in. They need to be on a totally grain free diet. Again, welcome, stick around and one of the rules of the forum that cannot be ignored is>>> photos of your bullies and lots of stories.

Welcome Django_Persephone! I can't really chime in on this one because Xtracho is correct in everything he said. If you read some of the threads posted in the "Bull Terrier Nutrition and Diet" category you'll find a plethora of really god information on proper foods, supplements, etc. and don't worry about the about overdoing his protein levels. Most people are looking to raise their dogs protein intake vice lower it.

Hi thank you all for your comments. @xtracho damnn thank you for that info the reason I gave them that dog food was bcus they told me it was a really good brand didnt knew all of that stuff lol shows me I need to do more researh on my bts. @bulliesofnc thank you and what would be a good dog food for them ?? Mainly can it be economical?? I go to walmart since I found they have dog food at different low prices.@stoeger one is cosequin plus vitamins & minerals they are joint health supplements, and dermaquin plus;omega 3fish oil, my white bt turn 5months yesterday and my black n white and tan (sorry not to familiar with the correct label) turn 6month on the 12 . Sorry I try posting a profile picture it didn't let me . It also says I dont have permission?? Not sure whats up with that

The best economical one (in my opinion) is Welness brands CORE dry food, Salmon and sweet potato. I like it cause I can read and comprehend all the ingredients and there is zero grain. It can set you back about 80 bucks for a medium sized bag (40lbs I think, might be more). Another great one I found is called Natures Domain, they only carry it at Costco, but it is also grain free and has all the same ingredients that the wellness brand does, but nearly half the price.

Wow, That's expensive stuff.... I get Taste of the Wild PUPPY food at $48.00 for 30lbs... you MUST get puppy food, grain free... you can order it online... Get Grizzly Oil instead of the Dermaquin, cheaper and better...

TOTW & Blue Buffalo here. We mix the two and also feed Darwins Raw. BTW...@philsergeant ..how are your guys doing on the Darwins?

The Duck version is also highly rated on Dog Food Advisor dot com.

Let us know what the critics think once they get their noses into it. Maya is not so much on the duck, maybe it's an acquired taste. She'll eat it but we jazz it up with some beef liver and boiled chicken. We are also going to try a couple pounds of the buffalo raw offered by Wild Idea Buffalo in S. Dakota. It's all free range, grass fed meat. Pricey so we'll try it by using it as a supplement mixed in with her Darwins.
