Bear belongs to my future son-in-law. Erin is in the Air Force Reserves and when he's on duty the girls get to babysit. Bear is a pit bull mix and weighs probably close to 100 lbs. Gentle as he can be. He and Maya have become best buddies. They play until they're totally exhausted!

The deer antlers I ordered came in yesterday. So each of them has something other than the other to chew on! BTW...thanks Phil for the heads up on the antlers vs. bones. :-h

I hope you got the slightly porous ones, sometimes they come SOOO hard they are like porcelain and they can't make a dent in them,... then they give up.... let us know how much attention they get.

Bought mine online....2 lbs. for about $40 shipped. So far Ruth says Maya and Bear both are enjoying them. Since I'm in Brazil don't know if they are the porous ones or not. But so far so good. Next order I think I'm going to try the elk antlers. @Leslie...I just searched "elk antlers" and found the site. You can get them at the pet stores, but I think they are a bit more costly than getting them online. I could be wrong though.

I have seen antlers at petsmart. They were on the small side. A while ago I ordered from bestbullysticks.com and saw they had some on there. I am interested in trying the kangaroo legs. Anyone bought those before?

Yeah....my wife has already told me the two are inseparable. Bear had to go to the vet the other day and she said Maya looked really sad. So, we're gonna get her a permanent companion. Bullie #2 here we come! After the first of the year.

@Xtracho - Mark I envy you with the experiences and lifestyle you must possess. I see your pics on facebook and damn it must be nice to cruise the seas on a huge vessel. The photos you posted the other day looked so awesome, so peaceful, and so beautiful that one could never take for granted to awe you must see when looking out from the captains deck. Once on hard ground, I know you take full advantage of that motorcycle of yours on pavement and just cruise. You live an awesome lifestyle my friend.

Thanks Steve...and you never answered me about whether you ride or not? I've got two bikes. One's a 1984 Honda Goldwing Aspencade and the other, the one in my FB profile, is my 1998 Honda Valkyrie. I'm restoring the Goldwing at the moment.

True that I have experienced things that many do not. Just the other morning I was watching a juvenile Manta Ray doing back flips right in front of the bow of the boat. And on a clear night, with no backscatter from city lights and no pollution in the air, God's creation is displayed prominently in the sky above me. It's quite humbling to say the least.

But then I think of you and your family. The wonder and joy that must show on your faces when a new litter is born. The happiness of knowing you've raised into this world young puppies that will bring years of joy to so many. The tenderness you must show to the mother of each litter and the pride you feel for their sire.

We each share things that bring wonder into our lives. Sadly, there are many that have the same in their lives but fail each day to notice it.
