HAPPY 4TH OF JULY AND 1ST BIRTHDAY MAX & LADY
Wanted to wish everyone a happy 4th and also say happy birthday to my two babies Max and Lady
It has been a great first year with them and words can not say how much I love them and how thankful I am to have them in my life

When I lost both my Dogo's last summer we were devastated
I came home from buying my last one and my daughter showed me these two pups
I wanted a male and she wanted a female
They were only 4 or 5 weeks old at the time
It just seemed like it was meant to be
The breeder was Mike Desmond whos mother was Anne Dee
I guess many years ago she breed some good dogs and wrote a book
If I wasn't in a weakened state and didn't have three daughters bugging me and I would of have known about this site I believe I would of tried to source dogs from the gentleman that runs this site
But I got lucky.... both parents were good looking dogs and I'm very pleased with the pups
they are a nice mix between coarse and fine
The male more coarse (bully) and the female more fine (terrier)
I do a lot with them
Low impact trail walking and running
When I say low impact I mean I do no run them them on hard surfaces like asphalt or concrete
I've raised a lot of hunting dogs and joints are always a problem in the end
I'm very impressed with the hard grainy muscle that is showing already
The white fur really washes out their definition
In person or in the right light the separation and grainyness of the muscle is impressive
The female is much more aggressive
Nothing I don't want but she is a handful
They are both dog friendly and love people but both are good watchdogs
The male would hit a puppy sleeve first time out at 8 months old
He just likes to play
The female patrols the house and the fenced in portion of the yard like she's a tough guy even though she is a lamb

I have 2 females, one is a clumsy sweetheart (the red smut) , the other(white) has such the attitude like a terrier. And I love it! Very protective of me, and an awesome guard dog.
I am also very curious how my red 6month old will turn out muscle wise. I can't really tell if she will be like her sister. You say that white fur washes out definition? It may just be me, but I thought white really brought out the muscle tone? Though I could be mislead. You don't really see bull terriers around here in person so it's hard to compare what average muscle tone is.

White in pics without the right lighting can wash things out in certain pics is what I meant to say

She's 1yr 8months. Only 17inches tall at the shoulder and 48 lbs. they don't get a ton of exercise, due to my work schedule, so she probably could carry more mass. But we go for short walks, and have beach time. Along with the occasional dog park trip.
I was thinking about hooking up one of those spring pulls you use. Great idea! I would have trouble getting the little one using it though.. she doesn't like to play tug of war with me. Only with other dogs..What's up with that!?!
