When we first got Puma she had small bumps on her nose. The vet said probable scar tissue and would get better. The bumps have not gotten better in fact I think there are more and her nose always looks dirty.
Maybe some people have an easy time keeping a bull terrier's nose smooth and clean, but I have the hardest time with that. It's just too easy for them to get their noses into spaces and are so rambunctious getting into things that they get scraped and scarred and dirty. The bumps could be an infection, though, so might want to check with the vet as far as the bumps. The dirt, that's another story.
We've put Bag Balm on the nose daily and it helps some. Johnson's Baby Shampoo has been great helping clean up the dirt on the nose.
There's no such thing as a Bull Terrier with a flawless nose. They all have a habit of putting their noses through punishment. Thank God they allow paste and powder at the Dog Shows or Nitro would look like an abused child. ) Some Bull Terriers are more delicate than others which may be able to maintain puppy perfect skin and coat but most play hard and have little concern about rubbing their nose raw of fur when diving after a thrown ball or dashing through a pricker bush in attempt to catch a squirrel. Bag Balm does help but you'd need to keep it at the ready after every outside play time.
