Nice Litter! I looked through my records trying to find a puppy picture of your sire from Bo x matokie and couldn't find any photos with the markings on your dog. What's his date of birth?
I know Ginne had two litters between Bo and Matokie.
Where did you get Sally Spitfire from?

Thanks! It's my FIRST litter. The sire's date of birth is 9/1/10. He might look white from that pic but he's actually brindle, he's white from the neck up with one side of his face brindle and a brindle eye patch on the opposite side. He also has a brindle spot on top of his head and that white marking near his rear end that some bullies have. He really looks a lot like 'Matokie' and they share the same brindle color, 'I-MAX 3-D' may be a tad darker. I got 'Sally Spitfire' in philadelphia. She comes off of Ann Dee's and surprisingly has a windy knoll great grandparent named 'Rachel'. I had'nt heard of 'windy knoll' yet when I puchased her, I was going for the 'Ann Dee's'. After having Sally I decided I would get a male. When I contacted you, you directed me to Ginnie. I will post some more pics for u to get a better look.
you should post pics of the puppies from side in stack positions to help us find one for you to keep, the bigger the better in show rings now days, so look for size, big bones, wide chest, even head with no dips, correctly placed ears, small eyes, short back, long neck, correct teeth, tight feet, short tail with proper tail set. you maybe consider keeping these puppies longer till around 4 months to pick one with the best conformation.
thanks for the tips €€and iinfo. there's so many things to consider in a short period of time. i will post some pics from the side to give u guys a better look. thanks again!
bingo! thats my son! i havent seen that pic in almost 2 years. sally looks exactly like rachel. it seems like you have a vast library of bullies and their lineage.
Well I've been breeding for a long time and keep track of pedigrees and bloodlines. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing because the more you learn and the more you know, the more anal you become in the aspect of breeding and self judging proper structure and conformation.

Well, knowing more is always better than knowing less. I thought I was knowlegeable from reading books and magazines on Bull Terriers and all the Bully breeds, but I realize I have just scratched the surface. This Forum is very helpful. I get a lot of information. Especially from U & Zerlett.
This forum is actually new but in a short period of time it's become pretty popular. I can only imagine it will continue to grow and grow as more Bull Terrier enthusiasts are finding out about it.
yes, i am very familiar with the standards and the history of the ebt. i've actually started looking into the breed over 10 years ago when i had 'old english bulldogs' and a friend of mine had a male bullterrier that i adored. thats when i purchased 'betty desmonds' book on bull terriers. i still have that book today. i also recently joined the btca. why do you say "you're not a fond supporter of btca?". it seems like they are well respected in the bully community and by the akc.
Great book by Betty Desmond, from the original Ann-Dees.
My views in regard to the BTCA relate to some of the members who pretend to have more knowledge and experience with the breed solely because they are a member of a "Club." All too often I view members of this club bashing other breeders, their dogs, and promoting their breeders as the sole source for obtaining a quality Bull Terrier. On several occasions I've helped to provide assistance to Bull Terriers owners who seeked guidance with their dog that had some sort of genetic disorder or temperament problem. Finding out some of these problematic dogs came from BTCA breeders leaves a bad taste in my mouth from an organization quick to cast judgement on others with slander and ridicule.
Please don't get me wrong, I don't think all the members from BTCA are bad people. It just so happens there are a few who project so much negativity it's enough to keep my distance from them, especially knowing they're phoney's.
Additionally, I'm avid on breeding professionally and legally. Meaning, if a person has intentions to breed and sell puppies they should be claiming that income. Most will try and convince others they're losing money by breeding their dogs regardless how much they're charging for each puppy. This article I wrote will provide you more info on this subject - http://bulliesofnc.com/finding-reputable-bull-terrier-breeder
You'll find out soon that BTCA keys in solely on showing as though it's the only purpose of owning a Bull Terrier. Yes, the BTCA is a well respected club that AKC supports just like every other club for specific breeds. However, it's not the BTCA that I have a dislike for, it's some of their members.
I was on a different Forum a few months ago and couldn't beleive all the bashing and ridiculing I was reading that was coming from BTCA club members. One of the members was a young girl who owned her first Bull Terrier (adopted from a rescue) who thought her advice and slander towards others was warranted since she was a "club" member.
A couple months ago I was providing advice to someone who bought a puppy from a BTCA breeder. The puppy had genetic disorders and needed constant medical attention. While I provided advice to this EBT owner I was still reading posts from BTCA members telling people interested in purchasing an EBT puppy that they needed to look into the BTCA breeders listings for a quality puppy. It was at that time my opinion of a "well respected" club deminished.
The fact is, you don't need to be a part of any "Club" to become a reputable breeder with healthy top quality EBT's nor do you need to be a part of a club to show your dog. Time, knowledge, experience, and love for the breed is more important than who's name is depicted on a club roster.
One thing to remember - If you're breeding properly and professionally nobody can cast bad judgement on you and your reputation as a quality breeder will flourish.

Well I think you have some valid points. Being a member of a club that requires nothing more than your information and payment doesn't make u an expert by any means, I think it takes a lot more than that. Clubs are just an opprtunity to be in an enviornment with other enthusiasts.

Ok, I know which puppy it was now. You're right, I thought the sire was a white Bullie from the pic.
Here's a puppy picture of the sire:

I actually rememeber the Windy Knolls female named Rachael. Here's a photo of her taken about 10 years ago:
(She was owned by James Weaver, the original owner of Windy Knolls)

Tip - If you really wish to "Study" the Bull Terrier breed get very familiar with the breed standards. AKC standards are pretty basic. http://bulliesofnc.com/bull-terrier-breed-information/akc-breed-standards
I'm not a fond supporter of BTCA but I will say their breed standard is well defined. http://www.btca.com/content/documents/education/bull_terrier_illustrated_standard.pdf
