Just got back from the Vets office after having all the puppies tested and vaccinated. They all got 100% perfect health assessments. Buster got the Big Boy award as he weighed in at 7.8 pounds. He's a pretty stocky puppy at 6 weeks of age. Next was Zeus and, beleive or not, third went to Lilly.

Great news! Only 10 more days!! Next Friday can't come soon enough Steve. Just let me know the arrival time as soon as you have something scheduled. That way I can plan my day accordingly.
Sounds like everything is set Steve! I see that a few of the pups already have their ears standing up. Is this about the age that happens? Just curious when we can expect that to happen with Buster. Also, I noticed he looked like he had a lump on his left side, is that just his rib sticking out? Sorry to be a pest but it's tough when you only have pics.
Ususally the ears start going up around 10-12 weeks of age. Occasionally they will start going up at earlier ages and sometime later ages. It's not that common to see 6 week old EBT puppies with their ears up like the two in this litter.
Have no worries - Buster's ears will be up soon enough.

The temps only come into play when the airports don't have climate control staging areas. That's when they require the documentation listed on the acclimation statement from my Vet.
You shouldn't have any problems since climate control wil be in place both on the flight and at the airport.
Buster is HUGE. When you see him in person he will put a smile on your face. He's really stocky.
He's really going to be missed.

It seems like the other day this litter was born and now they're all gone to their new homes. No matter how many litters we've had over the years you can never get used to seeing the puppies go.

Empty nest syndrome I could never be a breeder for that same reason I get attached to quickly and would end up keeping them all. Luckily for those of us that can't theirs those like you that can and being sad when they go just means you love them and that to me is a wonderful emotion for a breeder to have I wish everyone out their breeding had your emotion Steve!!
Your actions speak so loudly I cannot hear your words.
I can imagine how tough it is Steve but just wanted to let you know Buster is doing great in his new home. My daughter is absolutely in love with him and I have to keep reminding her that she has to let his feet hit the floor every now and then lol. He's also getting along great with my beagle as the two love to play together. Here are some pics and a video (I hope the video works)
The feedback and photos we receive from the owners (like the one above) make it all worth it. As hard as it is to see them go it's a great feeling knowing they are all in loving homes getting spoiled to death.
Eric - The kids seem to be having a ball with Buster. Between the kids and the Beagle he has his hands full with entertainment. The pictures and video look great just be careful of his teeth. He'll love playing tug of war but those baby teeth are a little delicate and can be pulled out or broken off. Get him used to playing ball and he'll have fun for hours and it's great exercise for him (and the kids).
I think Buster and your Beagle will become best friends. It's good bringing in a puppy with an older dog. You'll soon notice your Beagle becoming more energetic and active. They say the healthiest and longest living dogs are the ones who grew up with other dogs. It keeps their youth and keeps them active.
Thanks for sharing the pictures!

There won't be a problem with Chase being energetic. He's pretty much a puppy too as he just turned 1 a few months ago. I have to keep an eye on Buster though as he tends to latch on and not let go.
