Voluntary Recall

Mid America Pet Food voluntary recall. I’m curios what anyone using Victor switched to, if you ran out of kibble? I have used a variety of Victor recipes with great results for 5+ years and was shocked to learn about the voluntary recall, we haven’t had to deal with this before. I wasn’t able to find any recipe at any pet store. My store suggested trying Diamond Pro89… after some research, I decided to try Next Level which apparently was created by creators of Victor. (Similar recipes and packaging but little information/ reviews out) I also feed Primal patties and Grizzly but after trying this kibble right out the bag, so far so good. No upset stomach and just as enthusiastic at feeding time.

Steve, any thoughts, did you have to switch temporarily? Just to be clear, I’ve been happy with Victor, but I am considering changing to Next Level.

I'm still waiting to start purchasing Victor again but the time being I've tried a few different brands consisting of Orijen, Purina Pro, Taste of the Wild, Blue Buffalo, Canidae. The Orijen and Canidae are some good foods that I feel confident with for now.

I'm scrambling to find a new type of food over this Victor situation.  Chewy informed me that I won't receive my auto ship.  I came on the site to see if anyone had any suggestions.  Thanks for the above posts.  Time to try a new dog food and hope the transition isn't awful.

My Auggie had skin issues and we live in Canada, we switched her to Inukshuk and her skin issues have cleared up and she now has fur on her chest which had all but disappeared.  Very pleased with this food.
