5 month old keeps itching front tendons when walking

Hi,

My 5 month old at present is trying to itch rear tendons on both front legs when out walking.

He has done it before then stopped.

Is this possibly down to growing pains?

I'd be more prone to believe something is bothering him in that area that's causing the itching. Seasonal allergies, fleas, chiggers, fertilizer, etc. Growing pains wouldn't cause itching. Hot pavement could cause him to start licking at his paws as well.

Cheers for that, he seems to have calmed down now but has shot up this last week or two as noticed by the dog groomers (got full works today as he stank of local river).

His also got a lot of redness in his white underside like a rash, breeder says his dog has too.

I'm in process of changing him to raw food (beef), as his been on chicken and been advised that sometimes that can cause skin problems...and also coming off kibble (Royal Canin) as heard from some owners in UK their dogs suffered from skin irregularities due to processed food....

Oh the joy!!!

Paws are fine and his not walked on hot pavements as its scorching in the UK at present.
