Hello Tina If only Billie could get a pic of you chillin’ ha ha ha Here is moose chillin’ on the deck after walkies at 6am now. Dog restrictions change during summer. I do 5.30am during the week, I’m a wreck adjusting and the boys are confused too!
Hi Sarah! Happy New Year to you and everyone else Those are such good pics of the boys playing! Billie is doing well overall, but she's going through some skin problems at the moment due to allergies. Im using medicated shampoo on problem areas and treating it with medicated sprays and ointment. I think my stress is affecting her and causing her stress. I was researching and I think that might be one of the reasons why her immune system is down right now. So we're working through it
Oh Tina what gorgeous pics, your baby xxx I had both my boys sleeping on top of me on the couch last night too If it’s too hot we are separated but Moose still insists to be close, lovely soul. I’m glad I’m not the only one with arising allergy issues lol and yes it’s a stressful time for us all and maybe that’s being felt by all. Let’s hope this year will be enlightening and good to us all xxxx
Oh Tina she’s just kissable so white, clean and those footsies are amazing, you should be a dog groomer/pamper giver hint hint
I’m changing diet and trying to relieve these facial skin issues atm but I don’t see improvement yet. So much going on. I received their dna results and my boys have 12% staffy in their bloodline. I am happy with this as I didn’t know what surprises could’ve popped up. I always thought moose’ smile was staffy like. I’m preparing paperwork currently and I will be in a grey area with Moose’ desexing deadline. I don’t know how the cancel will hassle me, as he will be deemed unregistered but I’ll cross that road next week. Moose is two on 22nd. He’s really feeling well. Memphis is the one if more concern with skin, periodic limp, very yellow urine when I can see it. But he’s extremely energetic and happy otherwise.
Billie will hopefully come through well from her surgery and you have to too. I can understand how you must be feeling all those emotions but if you have a reputable vet whom you obviously trust I’m sure this helps.
Keep up your tremendous work with Billie as she is treated so very special in which I feel guilty as I don’t do this part with my boys. They get exercise, hose off, towel dry and a squirt of CS on the issues I see. Love in their food lol I brought an electric mail grinder as the manual clipper is a bit hard and disliked as their nails are strong and thick. Moose doesn't like the sound. I hope the grinder will be faster and more convenient for me.
Take care Tina keep me posted and try not to stress you’ll be fine xxx
Thank you Sarah! Im glad to hear Moose is doing well and so sorry to hear about Memphis- poor guy. It's such a stuggle to deal with allergies, it's such a battle. I hope Memphis feels better soon!
So sorry for the short response earlier. I took Billie to the vet today before her spay on Wednesday. Long story short, she has a umbilical hernia that her doctor wants to repair while she's getting spayed. She also gave her antibiotics and Betagen topical spray, so hopefully her skin heals up fast.
You're doing so great with the boys and I know they feel loved and well taken care of
Hello Tina Boy they never bore us with unexpected issues!! I’m glad this can be sorted all the the same time, I wonder how this popped up? Don’t we get hernias from overuse or incorrect exercise…..haven’t heard of this but you’ve probably researched everything Tina. I wish Billie a speedy recovery for Wednesday so please share your outcome as we are family
Thank you Sarah! I got her a couple more shirts and some more shoes, lol. I'm taking her in at 7:30 tomorrow morning for her spay and umbilical hernia repair. It was a busy day today prepping everything for tomorrow. I just gave her a shower and filed her nails. I washed all my bedding and her bedding so everything will be clean for her tomorrow when she comes home. I hope you and the boys are doing well
Hi Tina, If you find that she pops that blow up collar. Consider pulling the bladder out and filling it with a foam insert. We cut ours from and old couch cushion. No more popping. Just a soft pillow. They seem to test our resilience. All the best.
Thank you both Sarah and Bill! She already tried to attack the plastic cone , so now she's has her donut collar on. The vet said her surgery went well. I'm hoping for a full and speedy recovery!
Billie popped her donut collar shortly after I posted the message, lol. Ill try filling the donut up with foam or some kind of sturdy filling tomorrow. Thank you Bill for the idea!
Hello Tina I know I’d struggle to keep that cone on too I hope for Billie it won’t be for too long, is it to stop her from licking her wounds? Let’s pray for a speedy recovery xxx
I’m still doing all the paperwork to comply with my council re intact boys, it’s been an effort I’m still conquering. I will update all when I’ve completed this challenge fingers crossed it works out.
Had a run in with conservation team on the beach omg thought it was the dog inspectors they told me to stay out of the dunes which we loved exercising up and down the hills. I’d have to exercise at night to avoid the surveillance lol Lots of jellyfish today little babies so cute
Hi Sarah, thank you! Sounds like you're doing all the footwork and I hope you get to keep the boys intact without any further hassle! Billie is doing well, her incision looks like it's healing well. I've been trying to keep her mellow and for the most part, she's been calm. She's been in a surgical onsie to prevent her from licking and keeping the area clean. I hope the boys like the evening workout at the dunes She stole my spot, lol
Bravo for keeping her calm that’s an effort in itself but as soon she feels better she’ll be her cheeky self. Isn’t it funny how you go to make a comfy spot for yourself, and they just come on in bully style, and take your spot. Whenever I’m airing mats or go to make a sunbaking spot, they sneak on in and plant themselves. So frustrating, as I make them a shaded spot but they always get so close. My balcony looks like a shanti house draped with doonahs, blankets etc I’m very happy things are coming along nicely with recovery. You can relax when this is over. I’m still doing the mornings with my boys and I avoided the dunes but we had sloping sandy hilly spots to workout. Take care you two xx
Thank you Sarah! Those are cute pics of the boys! I love how Moose is sprawled out Billie is doing well, I started taking her out on short walks, but she's not allowed to play with her friends for another week, lol. Her vet called today with her cytology lab results and everything is good She had an enlarged lymph node on the back of her left knee due to a sore on her left foot which she kept messing with and making it worse. I think I'm going to take her next week to get a round of cytopoint shot to help with her allergies and it'll give her skin a chance to heal. She's a high maintenance girl! Lol
She’s flawless Tina! They are constant work omg moose is limping bad today, started yesterday. My bones a very sore too. It’s very humid here. Don’t know if there’s a connection. I’ve completed all the boys paperwork for council. Just waiting for them to give the all clear. I will make seperate post to tell all. I’m so lost with their health. I made a nice bone broth for them. Skin/coat hasn’t improved its very noticeable when they are wet. I’m rinsing their feet in acv solution at the moment too. Wishing Billie well so she can join her friends, what a patient girl xxx
I wonder if he pulled his muscle while playing, I hope he feels better soon! And yes, they are constant work and it takes time to figure things out and for them to heal- it's so frustrating! You're doing everything you can to help them Great job getting all the paperwork done! I hope they approve it!
Happy Tuesday Tina How's billy? I'm having trouble with the forum. Cannot upload pics error msg even when I post so some duplicates pop up Hope you're both doing well xxx
